Have been using it for over 4 months and truly enhanced my focus. I love the simplicity of it and yes, the "no apps feature". It is easy to get into the workflow. I also felt hesitant to buy this because of the price, which a lot of other people are worried about. But ended up being the best purchase I made so far.

Definitely the best gadget I bought in my life. I travel a lot and caring notebooks doesn't make sense anymore. Als it REALLY feels like paper! love my remarkable!

People that don't get it, don't get it. And that's fine. The ReMarkable 2 is a purpose built, niche product. Not everybody (most?) will not want or need it. I only got it a few days ago and I can tell already it will be a game changer for me. I have other devices that have connectivity as well as a Kindle. Most people do. The whole point of this device *is* the lack of distractions and the ability to create, take notes, and mark up a document on the fly. As well as the long battery life. If I want to focus, I turn off connected devices. True, the price of entry is steep. But the elegance and simplicity of a device interface that simply disappears while using is priceless to me. I don't need yet another "everything" device. And frankly it is absurd to compare it to a simple paper tablet. You get what you pay for.

i have Kindle Scribe. while i do like it, it lacks the pure writing experience. I just may have to try the reMarkale 2. Do they have trade-in program?😀

remarkable is a better writing tool, but you're not missing out much. If anything, you'll miss the kindle scribe more because it is the best e-reader as well. I have both the kindle scribe and remarkable 1. I only use the kindle scribe now. The scribe is plenty capable with notetaking

Can I sync with my laptop without the cloud? No intellectual property is allowed to touch a server on the Internet so I have to do direct device laptop sync.

I would like to upload my sheets to my one Drive but I do NOT want to pay for that. So to me it's not clear, is this 3rd party cloud now for free, or do I still have to use CONNECT for this?

With the subscription, I can access notes (notes created with the Remarkable2) from other devices through the RM app; my question is: can you also DOWNLOAD these notes on the laptop or mobile? Or do you only have access through the app? In other words, can I download the notes in order to have later access to such ones in the case that I cancel my subscription? Apart, if I don't have a subscription, is there any possibility of sharing the notes outside of Remarkable2? Thanks in advance for your help! Great review!

Honestly, a simple old pen and paper that lasts for a year is still going to be cheaper and convenient. If this industry caters to creative professional instead of the regular joe that is just all about taking notes then this industry could honestly thrive and have more profit, just look at the display tablet industry for example, back in the day it was just a niche to own one; now its the daily driver of digital artists.

Supernote is much better. Funny how this ad makes no mention of the subscription fees of syncing information from the cloud. No such fee with Supernote. What a shill!

Remarkable is a scam...at once billed as that piece of technology designed to streamline and simplify and then adulterating it with subscription costs that are necessary to maintain if you want the device to remain functional to any practical degree. For that I would say do not buy it, but eventually the lag between loading files and the searching for where you put that file soon puts the analogue old-school paper notebook and ink pen neck-to-neck with the Remarkable if not puts the paper notebook ahead. Do not buy.

Trust me, it’s expensive rubbish. Don’t bring your iPhone, ipad etc to the coffee shop, just bring your reMarkable - NO! Bring a note book. Purchase this item and you will regret it.

do not buy it, there are far better options. even data transfering/syncing cost you with the monthly subscription. and even if they "gift" you the subscription for free for a year, you cannot use it, if you do not have a credit card, which most continental europeans do not have. they dont even offer PayPal etc

Et bien moi, je ne la trouve pas terrible ! elle est dépassée par un simple iPad et elle n'est pas facile à utiliser son interface est nulle et la connectivité mauvaise
