Love my Sata 3000RP. Fastest gun I've ever owned! Flat finish....Excellent for spraying complete jobs!

First thing noticed Wow - guns are well maintained 2 - paracetamol, we all have a pack of them 3 - tell me more about the Lotus - tip/ fluid , pressure for solids. Nicely organised and methodical

Just to talk about the gritty bits in PPG envirobase. I have recently suffered from them pulling thought the PPS2 filters on a few jobs. Did a lovely bumper repair which was perfect till last coat of base then it spat them all over it. I may now look at the Sata pots. Cheers for the info pal

When I went back and listened to this, I was self critical on why I was talking about the pots for too long, but now I'm glad it was helpful. I hear 3M are releasing a new pot with a similar style to the SATA RPS pots, but cheaper. Probably available in The States first.

@@TheGunmanChannel il chase them up with my 3M rep as I may be able to get some to test. Great video by the way pal. Good to see what other painters use gun wise and their thoughts on them. We both agree on the DV1 as the best basecoat gun though and I’ve managed to get hold of a gambler edition recently which is my newest edition to my collection. I may do a similar video in the near future on my collection. I can’t stop buying guns lol. Oh and you didn’t go on about them for too long at all. Video was well paced and informative. As always 👌

hey gunman. love your videos. you are right on about the envirobase and the sata cup. the sata cup gets a cleaner job and i think color match is better. just something about it and the flow of the product gets a better result. those bag system type cups will push all that grit into your paint job. but ultimately the problem is the ppg product and not the cups themselves. you shouldnt have to change everything you do to try and make a product work successfully. spraying ppg for 10 years and the reps will tell you everything you are doing wrong and everything you need to do to make it better. so after 10 years we changed to RM diamont and my paint jobs have never looked better. one thing i will have to give ppg credit for doing is making me a better painter. after using it for 10 years and using diamont now it is better in every way. DV1 are my favorite guns right now as well for base clear. take care

I hate the damn baggies. Modern gravity guns use all their energy in making a great pattern and transferring product to the surface easily and consistently you'reribbing from that energy to pull in on the stupid bags. I can watch my pattern fall on it's face 1/4 the way into one of the 900ml cups. Dog's my silvers out i can watch them get darker on a hole side if I dont let the gun breathe a bit. And just think, I can hunt around for a hard cup just like my ancestors did 🙄

i expected u to use ANI more for primer. Ive been using cheap chinise Guns for 15 years lol. i dont have much money so i spoiled myself with a F160 awhile ago from watching your videos. ive been super happen with it. (painted 4 cars and loads of parts) :D

I know maybe it's not used in UK but I think you would love the big fan on the Walcom Carbonio on big parts (hood, roof, trunk, etc)

Love my Supernova and DVI once dialled in. Never been able to get along with a Sata.

I was 100% on that team until I had problems with my supernova. Now I use one of my 5500 rps for clear one for sealer and my supernova for water base.

Can you make a video on the differences on what is the difference between the 1.4, 1.3, and 1.8 in detail? I would like to see how to use the guns rather than comparing each one.

I can do that too, but it's basically just higher fluid delivery the larger nozzle.

Our spies paint supplier also recommends the 5500 o pattern. And I can’t complain but I have found that my supernova clear gun sprays it better then anything I’ve tried. It just puts so much material on that it’s much quicker and easier to control mottling and get full coverage in 1.5 coats.

@The Gunman Hey there man Killer video!! I have both Gti pro lite TE10 and FLG5 from your recommendations but notice my small 26Gal compressor can barely keep up with it. Can you recommend me another gun that doesn't use as much air for DIY?? is DVI good for this since I notice you use it on lower psi? or what's your suggestion?

Some beautiful guns there Gunny, I still have my Pro and ProLite which I get out now and again but ATM I'm loving my Sata X5500 with the 1.2i or the 1.3CC setup plus I love my WS400 Series 2 digital, so many guns not enough time to use them all🙄😂John UK

Hello, I have the Sata x 5500 1.3 RP and had problems with the spray pattern right from the start. I sent them in. Sata says everything is fine. But the problem is still. That was the case with you too. Did you solve the problem?

They denied any fault on my guns also. It's definitely a known issue though

It was thanks to you that I came to the Gti pro lite. This is a perfect paint gun. Perfect finish. How about the other Sata x 5500 guns you have? Is that better or perfect? Without problems. On my x 5500 the spray pattern is wide at the top and thin at the bottom. Far too uncontrolled.
