Hi loves!
Here comes some moments from my winter so far. December was busy and went by so fast. And now it's January and the light is slowly returning to us. Winter really is a time of pure magic mixed with the extreme cold that makes it so hard. I love this time of the year so much. Especially in the night as the stars and northern lights appears on the sky and the trees and the ice makes noise from the cold temperature.
I hope you will enjoy the video! And thank you so much for watching and for commenting!
I wish you all a beautiful start on this new year! ♥ Lots of LOVE!

Dear Jonna, I am an old grandma in Northern California who lives with my husband, Hamilton, and our cats, Bella and Anna. I'm delighted that you enjoy doing your videos, because I find them very healing and beautiful. We had Christmas in Oregon with my kids and saw snow for the first time in many years. Now that I'm old, I have to be careful not to slip, but I loved the experience. My family came from Montana (where they understand -40 degrees) when I was six years old and settled in what is now Silicon Valley. The valley was covered with beautiful orchards when we came to California, pears, cherries, walnuts, apricots, prunes . . . I wish you and your lovely Johan and Nanook a blessed New Year, full of beauty, health, and wonder. Love, Rodean

My relatives lived in Ukraine and I'm so sorry that we're all friends at war with each other. I want to say that your video helped me get out of fear and sadness, it blows such warm, family emotions that I miss now. It prompted me not to give up, to be in love and start writing music again. I'm a little late to the party, I felt scared to share this when I first saw this video but here goes... My name's Gwen - I'm a falconer, herbalist, artist, and tree hugger 🙈. I grew up in Canada on a farm, surrounded by nature, and life was good. Then I moved to the city for work, which is when I really dove deep into your channel, Jonna. You helped me pull myself out of the hole of depression and despair I'd suddenly found myself in. I was so lost. You reminded me that there is *so much more* to this one and only magical life. For a moment, I had forgotten. I just moved very far north, and I'm sooooo happy to be surrounded by nothing but snowy forest, mountains, and endless starry skies. Thank you for existing 💙

Hello My name is Kerrie Lynn, I’m from Canada. I first discovered Jonna in March 2020, my health wasn’t good. Watching her rejuvenated my spirit and awakened my soul, she’s magical. Her beautiful voice, her amazing paintings, her ability to capture everything through her camera lens in nature and make it all come alive. Sometime it felt like I could smell the rain, feel the cold or the bite of the mosquitoes lol. I’ve always been connected to nature, and shared my love for it with my 4 children. My youngest too is amazed by everything Jonna produces. She loves Nanuk and wants to send him a teddy bear from Canada. We’ve been inspired in so many different ways. Tapping a birch tree, collecting ash, soil and coal from our outdoor fires for painting. We want one day to have a cold dip in the cold winter lake but haven’t managed that one yet. We did have a few saunas this winter and jumped in the snow to cool off. Thank you Jonna, You helped me heal through my battle with cancer. Many times I’ve fallen asleep to your voice or the ice sounds. Your inspiration has helped me on my hardest days, the days I wasn’t well enough to get out in nature I could watch though your eyes. I’ve laughed with you, cried with you and rejoiced with you. Thank you for all you do. You are a beautiful, kind human with an amazing, magical, soul. For that I am so thankful as feel blessed to have I found you. One day we want a sled like yours and I’d really like to know if you have ever skated? ⛸😘❤️🤗🌲🍁🐕🏊‍♀️🌧☀️❄️⛷🎶✨🔥🪵🫖☕️🐄🙌🏻👏🏻🇸🇪🇨🇦🌎🎥

I am thankfully in good health, have a full time job, have a loving family, and just enjoy my life very much. I was drawn to your channel as you put into film how I feel about this beautiful planet and the nature we have around us. This video was especially wonderful as I love to do the same in remote places, and beautiful woodland here, just sit and listen to the sounds of the environment. I wish we had colder, drier winters like you have in Sweden as it brings the most wonderful, peaceful feelings. Wales is very wet during the winter, but still is so beautiful. I totally related to your emotions at the end of this video. Everyone should take the time to stop, listen and just be one with nature sometimes. It’s incredibly humbling and changes how you view the world forever ❤

I am married to my amazing husband Ron who I met here in Colorado after my family and I moved here. Because of how expensive it is to buy a house here, we are living with my parents and my brother and I love being around my family. My husband and I have a dog named Milo who we adopted from a shelter when he was one year old. I often wonder to myself why someone would give up this precious baby, but I’m so thankful he is with us. He brings us so much joy and I cried when you spoke of the little time we have here on this beautiful earth with our pets because my mind often wonders to that place as well. I can’t really, fully describe what it’s like watching your videos, I cry frequently, I wish to be out in nature, I long to own land somewhere and raise animals and live off land. Hallo Jonna, I am 14 years old and I live in Canada! I like to be out in nature with my dog Scout. (He is Golden retriever) I go on the snowshoes and Scout pulls a sled. I saved up to buy a camera this summer and now I take pictures of nature also! I was inspired to create natural earth pigments from your videos. When I went to Iceland I got some black sand and made paint out of it! When I am older I will live someone as beautiful as Sweden! - Meta

Dear Jonna, I am a 21 year old medical student. Your videos inspires me so much and helps me alot when I am dealing with my anxiety and stress. Your narrations helps me sleep peacefully. I found your channel in November 2019 and ever since I am here. I never felt being myself ever as I feel by watching your videos. Every single shot narrates me that how life is beautiful and I have privilege to see the beauty of nature and to feel everything, every little thing that is going in the surroundings. I know alot of people around the world are battling with mental health and a lot of times thoughts of death might comes in their minds. I can understand that feeling. I also felt one time like this in 2019 but after I watched your videos, heard your narrations and saw how beautiful life can be if we don't give up I realised that I should fight for what I want, I should live for my family, my loved ones, my dreams and for myself. Thankyou so much for being an inspiration for me and unintentionally helping me alot ❤️❤️

Hi Jonna! I'm 35 years old and I live in a small town in Belgium. In my everyday life I'm a police officer and I work in Brussels. I'm getting married to my boyfriend in september 2022 and we have a dog, a Belgian Malinois, called Remus. Let me just tell you that I absolutely LOVE your videos. It makes me forget about everything bad I see on the job and makes me dream... Just seeing you there, peacefully making berry juice or playing with the dog, painting,... It looks so peaceful and quiet and I almost feel like I'm right there with you. This year, my fiancé and I are planning to go on a roadtrip to Norway on our motorbikes, but one day I'll come and visit Sweden. You make it look like a dream. Thank you, thank you, thank you, for giving us a glimp of what life looks like under the northern skies. All my love, Yannick.

Hi, Jonna! I'm Kati from Germany. I live in the north of Germany, right between North and Eastern Sea, with my two cats 🐱 Since I was a little child especially my father took me to the forests in the near surrounding area and so I have inherited his attachment to nature ❤️In 2020 he died because of cancer and I still try to go out into the forests as much as I can and it's sometimes like "meeting him" there. ☺️ He always wanted to travel to Sweden to see some reindeers and the unbelievable landscape, but unfortunately he never did. So because of your videos I feel so much feelings that I wish I could explain to you, but it is not so easy, especially in English 😅 They are full of an amazing, unbelievable and breathtaking Beauty, magic, freedom and as we say in German "Herzblut" that they always touch my heart so deeply, when I watch them. I hope someday I can visit Sweden and enjoy its beauty in real life ☺️ Thank you and Johan and even nanook (of course he is the secret star in your videos😁❤️) so much for your unbelievable work and the love you Share. Always stay the way you are! I wish you all the happiness of this world!

Hello Kati, I just felt like replying to your nice story. Your father seems to have inspired you and that so much resonates with what we all love about Joanna. We have a dream. I found mine in writing a book and am about to finish it (first draft) today coincidentally. On the long journey from the very first inkling when I had that idea I had given up a million times. I almost deleted hundreds of pages a while ago becaus of doubts (who am I to write a book?). Maybe it helps you to read what has kept me going to finally see my dream come true: I always made sure to know what my next smallest step will be. Even a few words written or a chapter rearranged would count. For me it was about moving forward to my dream and never stop. Small steps matter in the end. I knew that eventually My fingers had to press keys on my keybard. One after the other almost a million times. And then I pressed one and another one and another one until I created a word and then a sentence. That sentence was once in my brain only. It is now in my manuscript for everbody to read (in German by the way). Make one step towards your dream every single day and always know which one will be the next. Don’t ever stop. The famous Wayne Dyer said “don’t die with your music still in you” Don’t ever stop, Kati. Alles Gute für Dich und Deinen Traum.

I currently work as a news reporter/anchor at a local radio station. I've been there for almost 3 years. While it is a well-paying, stable job, it drains me every day to go there. I've lost my passion, and I don't want to. So, I will be going to grad school in Pennsylvania in the fall. I will be studying to get a Masters in Creative Writing and finishing my novel that I hope to publish one day. You inspire me to take this terrifying leap to believe in my passion. Jonna, your videos reassure me at this troubled hour for me and my family. It is good to know that there are places on earth where you are the owner of your territory and no one can (because they do not want to) take it away from you. I've been watching your videos for 12 months now. A lot has happened to each of us this year, but I am very pleased to find new videos on your channel every month and have 30 minutes of rest from everything, especially from the bad news. I really hope that in a month I'll have the opportunity to sit at home, in my room and just go to your channel to watch the video. I just hope for peace.

Dear Jonna, I live in Vienna, Austria. I am definitely a summer person, but i love watching your videos and seeing how beautiful winter can be. Here in Vienna we don‘t really have proper winters…it almost never snows, and the city is just grey and ugly during this time (except for when it‘s christmas). Therefore, unfortunately, this time is very depressing to me…but when spring comes around, and you hear the birds for the first time and finally start feeling the warmth of the sun, it feels like my body and soul awaken from this long winter sleep and i become alive again. I think if I got to experience winters like you do, i‘d love it! ❤️

Hello Jonna! My name is Katia, I’m from Kyiv, Ukraine. Thank you for your wonderful videos that radiate peace, love and happiness. I was in Stockholm in 2020 before the pandemic and I really like your country and another Scandinavian countries. I love your cultures, history, mythology, languages and NATURE! I graduated from school three months ago. And I’m an artist like you: I draw, play the guitar, sometimes write some stories and work like graphic designer. I had a British shorthair cat Fenya (he has been living with a friend for several years) and I miss him, but (very happy and satisfied!) Nanook in your videos makes me happier like every animal I see. Thank you❤️

They have actually become part of my morning routine; make coffee, breakfast, and watch your videos. It's a nice reminder that there is beauty in simplicity. Hi, Jonna. I’m writing from Brazil. My dream always was to see the northern lights and you are constantly making my dream come true (come closer at least) :) I was in Sweden once in the Summer, it was the first big travel I made, and I loved so much the nature there, everything was so different and beautiful for me, I cried saying goodbye to the trees in the Göteborg airport. Back in Brazil I named my teddy bear “Lingon”, I still remember the taste of this little red fruit, mmmm. I feel very connected with you, the way you feel and see things. You’ve helped me to understand the winter time within me, to accept the darkest times appreciating the beauty it hides. Hello Jonna, My name is Alruna and I'm from Upper Silesia, a heavily industrialised region in southern Poland. I'm neuroatypical with hyperaesthesia. For the last two years I've been suffering from depression due to constant 24/7 noise from construction works happening outside my windows without any consideration for the people living here. Coming to your channel and watching your videos always improves my mood and has helped me many a time to get through the day. Very often I fantasize about living a wholesome life close to nature like you do. I'm a pagan and one of the first videos of you that I saw was a summer video with you strolling around the forest in a white dress and I thought you were the Goddess. Thank you for all you do for people like me. You can't imagine what impact it has. I live with three cats. Bru is a pure-bred Russian Blue. Karin is a European shorthair taken from the shelter. Ellie is a stray who's likely a Devon Rex from a kitten mill. She has a heart condition. Not sure you'll ever actually get to read this, but watching the video I had some thoughts I wanted to share. Heating: have you considered getting a rocket stove? It's very effective and you can build one yourself. People usually plaster it with cob (clay, sand and straw mix) and give it fancy shapes. I think it would be a perfect project for you! Berry juice: putting it in PET bottles to freeze is not a good idea. PET releases harmful chemicals when heated or frozen. I'd recommend using pasteurized glass jars instead. The process is a bit time-consuming, but no need to freeze the juice afterwards - it'll stay fresh for a couple of months untill open.

I live in Glastonbury in Somerset, I moved here nearly a year ago. It's a hippy bubble with beautiful countryside, 70 religions in one little town of 10,000 people all letting live and let live. I love your videos, they are so beautifully photographed and inspiring in your lifestyle. It's no mistake that the u tube channels that I watch, Jonna Jinton, the Cottage Fairy and Morgan Long are three girls that made changes to live where they do, love countryside and are sensitive and inspired by the artistic. I live a relatively comfortable life. It saddens me to think what some of those watching in Ukraine and Russia are having to bear. There are more of us that are friends and reach out together for harmony and peace, just a few in power that want war. If we can only hold friendship and community in whatever way we can and reach out together and sharing beautiful u-tubes, is just one way.
