I found the hark player gaslighting themselves there at the end to be rather amusing in that first match. Their rage boner for your base threw the game so hard.

The main base surprise attack could have worked and was kind of a good play. But they should have tried to make peace and pivoted into something else after landsraad healed the base and they had no hope of finishing it off anymore. Keeping that war going just puts both players behind.

He's a good but not great player (he learns while streaming, which leaves him some gaps, ha), but he is one of the best there is at commentary, whether playing or not.

When youtubers first started posting about this game I brought up base rushing, and everyone played it off. Get your buildorder right andyou can probably do it pretty quickly. Not three minutes quick like Age of Empires, but quick enough to catch most youtubers off guard. Vernius in network buffs should include turrets, and the bases automated missile defense.

@Turin, you can leave your ship at base go out with ground units then use the mission to get back to the base( Extraction) something

This game's multiplayer kinda sucks cuz you need all the players to not hold grudges to have a good game. Other than that it's great, should be more popular.

fiction mirrors real life. and even in book lore, grudges are the order of the day.
