MY DISNEY AUDITIONS EXPERIENCE! | What to Expect + Tips to be Successful!

Hi everybody!
I thought it was about time that I shared all about my Disney Auditions experience! I have now gone to EIGHT Disney auditions for the roles of Face Character, Character Performer, Parade Performer and for the Disney College Program! Each audition has been a little different and in this video I explain to you all about the different portions and what you can expect out of each type of audition. I explain to you type-outs, the two dances and types of choreography we were taught, different animation exercise examples and more!
All I hope out of this video is to help you be successful at your disney auditions! Regardless of the outcome, auditions are so fun and exciting to attend and I definitely encourage you to go and experience it for yourself!
If you have any questions, further advice or ideas for videos you'd like me to make go ahead and comment them below!

I have been to three auditions- two DCP and one look alike! I made it to round two of one of the DCP auditions and it was a lot of fun. I plan to keep on auditioning as much as I can. Thank you for this video; you shared some new information that I did not know! Sounds like they have changed a little bit since I last auditioned.

I am about to do my first audition for the company for the cruise line. I'm nervous but exited. I love background ot your room. Like a Disney princess. Wish me luck. I want this so badly.

@@AdriannaGunn Both are the best. I got to see Disney The Little mermaid live tonight. I feel some confidence now from that and you. I'm plus size but they had so many different sizes in stage.

hey! i'm auditioning in two weeks. would you probably not wear a dance leotard and leggings if the leotard has a pretty open back?

Great video 😊 is there a separate audition for the parade performer? Mostly for the Disney college program 😁.

Sometimes they’re listed specifically as parade performer auditions for normal entertainment recruitment but for DCP it’s all the same audition!

this is really late but can you be a princess during the dcp? Or do you have to be a full time worker?

Does one person do more than one character. Last year (2021) I saw Snow White at Epcot and then the next day I saw Belle and I could’ve sworn they were the same person. Just curious.

Yes , when you are cast as a charector or look a like they won’t assign you one charector unless there is a lack of people who can do that specific job. Take note there are some look a likes they bring out of retirement every now and then (Esmeralda for example) so they would need someone to play her 5 times a year which wouldn’t make sense. This is why typically they like an ambiguous look. Mulans and Pocahontas and Moana and jasmine are almost always played by the same people. Snow White Cinderella Aurora and belle are almost always the same people too.

Hi! I know I'm more than a little late to the party but I was curious. I know that it doesn't matter what hair color/hair type you have, but what about eye color? I have very similar skin and similar face shape to Pocahontas. However, my eyes a blue/green. Does this mean I wouldn't be able to be friends with Pocahontas, or would I wear contacts?

I really want to be a parade performer for festival of fantasy. I have only about 2 years of dance experience, and I was able to teach myself 2 of the routines from some of the units in the parade. Will this help if I go for an audition for this parade? Thanks!

Dance experience will definitely help!! The dances and animations they have you do are always random but being able to pick up choreography quick is always a big help!

Thank you so much for the helpful video! I am a dancer and I want to start auditioning for a dancer role at disney. Is a parade performer audition for characters? I want to make sure I am specifically going to the auditions for professional dancers at disney. Such an exciting journey! 😊💖

Hello! You’re so welcome! 💓 Parade Performer auditions are for dancers as well! In fact, I’d say they’re more so for dancers than anything else!

Hi! I was just wondering: I see that you have a tattoo (very cute!). I have one as well (on my ankle) and was wondering if I were to audition, should I cover it with makeup or would that be a bad idea? Of course if they asked I would tell the directors about it! I just did not know if that would be a good idea or not. Thank you so much!

Hello! I’m sure you’d make a lovely princess! The only way to know for sure is to attend an audition! Persistence is key and eventually a casting director might see a resemblance to one of the princesses ❤️

All of them. But dcp performers tend to get left over shifts which are mostly fur. But you still may be bumped up face or parade performer.
