Shenhes constellations have nothing to do with DPS aside from c3, c4, C5 and C6. C1 and C2 are just quality of life to make rotations better.

@@raurisaurus5057 her first 2 cons are actually integral to dps shenhe. She very much needs the two charges to get her burst faster and those two charges basically double her damage. The second one increases CRIT dmg in the field and the spirit inside lasts longer aswell.

@@iloveroundseals663 Okay so her constellations are not integral to DPS shenhe and here's why: Let's start with C1. Using two skills in a row still only grants shenhe 5/7 stacks. Granted the second skill will consume one of the first skills stacks and do a decent chunk more, but her other stacks will most likely be robbed by her burst and do minimal damage since her burst multipliers are so low. It'd be more beneficial for her icy quill stacks to be added to her charged attacks (with chongyun) rather than in her burst. So overall C1 will not double her damage, it will only double her skill damage and energy regen. It's just an increase in burst DPS but a on field main DPS shenhe isn't used as a burst DPS to begin with, however if you want to make shenhe a burst dps support and a battery at the same time, C1 is integral to that. C2 is integral to Eula+Shenhe comps (since Eula can't properly use shenhes burst at c0). C2 however is not integral to a DPS shenhe comp. It helps do a little bit more damage, but the 15% cryo Crit increase isn't anything that insane and the extra 6 seconds will only give shenhe about 300% more damage (maybe more but I don't know the intervals at which her burst attacks). They are not integral, but they do provide more support capabilities and a more DPS output for shenhe. However they do not double her damage (Especially since even with C1 her cooldown is still 15 seconds). They are mainly just comfort constellations to make her role seem a bit smoother. Edit: I also did the math. Shenhes C2 +15% cryo Crit damage buff is only about a 5% (maybe it could be a 10% damage increase if you have more elemental damage bonuses but I'm unsure) overall damage increase. A shenhe with 3000 attack, cryo goblet, and 200% Crit damage only gets a 5% damage increase with her C2. (Her skill damage went from doing 44k to 46k at talent level 10). I didn't count weapon bonuses since The catch only applies to her burst and the 12% damage increase of PJWS or CQ won't really change much. So her C2 REALLY doesn't change much.

2 pc Glad + 2 pc Shim is probably the optimal build as you get a massive attack boost from the 2 pc set bonuses. She scales off attack anyway. The build in the video though is very impressive. I was pleasantly surprised. There were some really nice big numbers! However, my own C0 Shenhe is still at level 60 (unascended due to a shortage of resources; I'm going broke resin-wise). With artifacts that have not been maxed out and with a lvl 90 R1 Skyward Spine her current stats are: Attack: 2521 Em: 119 Crit Rate: 26% (41% with cyro resonance) Crit Dam: 103.6% ER: 201.5% My AR=57/WL=8 and mine still hits like a truck; ofc not anywhere as high as the lvl 90 in the video. Her sand is an ER sand which was the only one I had available so I will be swapping it out for an attack sand once I can get one with decent substats. But since mine is being built as a support with some dps capability, I don't really need to build crit as she can get it from external sources but as is she's giving my Eula a 25% boost to her Cryo bursts and making my half built Ayaka totally nuts (both C0s). Methinks that Shenhe is totally insanely good as long as you build her halfway decent. Mine can hold her own even against elite mobs (lvl 93) and her own damage output is comparable to my other lvl 80 support units' normal attacks. For the moment, I'm running her with Raiden (C0 lvl 90), Eula (C0 lvl 90), Kokomi (C0 lvl 80) and unless I mess up, they can delete anything in the open world including the toughest mobs without breaking a sweat. Don't even need Zhongli and their energy loop is so good they have almost 100% uptime on their burst; only have to wait on cooldowns. They're like an energizer bunny team. Even shielded units don't last long unless I screw up (gawd, how I hate the Fatui cyro gunners - 🥶).

@@RynoGaming0718 Still your approach in the video is VERY interesting. 4 pc Blizz might be a bit of an overkill as the crit rate bonus might be a little over the top in a team with cyro resonance. However, the 2 pc bonus might be a plus if you want her on the field doing some really hard hits. The downside of this is that other than her initial E and Q bursts, all of her other attacks are normal but if you've got Chongyun's cyro conversion buff it might make a big difference. How I am using mine atm is she's got an ER sands (which I prob will replace) and both an ATK cup and circlet. So my rotation with her acting alone is to drop her E first (to buff herself), then drop her Q. This is a very effective AOE burst and can tear lesser mobs apart. However, when combined with Kokomi and Raiden, some interesting things can happen. Let me explain. Drop Kokomi's jellyfish first, then you can do one of two things. 1. Raiden drops her E after Kokomi - this smacks everything around them with electro-charge 2. Then follow immediately with Shenhe's E and Q - this adds super-conduct to the mix plus you see some mobs affected also by frozen so they literally can't fight back. If fighting hillicurls and treasure hoarders, Shenhe can then literally stand there and watch them die... Alternatively Shenhe goes before Raiden for similar results; but for some reason I haven't figured out yet, this variation works really good for shredding cyro and hydro abyss mage shields. For tougher mobs I then add Eula into the mix but used differently than her standard rotation. First she holds her E, then her Q and then her hold E again. Without building stacks for Eula, I switch over immediately back to either Raiden or Shenhe to set off Eula's Q. This is enough to remove the shield from a Mitachurl and leave him with maybe 10% HP if it doesn't outright kill him already. VS a Lawachurl, assuming Eula's burst crits (for around 50K in my case) plus the damage it received before hand it completely blows away it's shield and brings its HP down about 2/3. Then it's basically dead meat. And if Raiden's Q is ready, at this point it's game over. Or for laffs, Kokomi can drop her Q and go bunga wunga... Works wonders against the large vishaps and ruin guards too. Against open world mobs, with Shenhe's cyro bonus and cyro/phy dam shred Eula doesn't need to build stacks for her Q as her E,Q,E sequence all get buffed. I estimate that the combine damage output of the team in this sequence for my lvl 40 Shenhe is around 150-200K. Even allowing for the shield absorption the actual damage output has got to be over 100K. When I get her to lvl 80/90 with 3500+ ATK, the team should be able to one-shot a fully shielded Lawachurl. That's going to be fun 😁 BTW; I'm really looking forward to test out what Shenhe can do with Yae Miko.

Her crit rate dossent need to be improved, 4pc blizzard strayer gives her 20% crit rate bonus a large chunk of the time, and if she's played correctly it's boosted to almost 90% crit rate
