My dream MTB trail build has begun - UK's best slopestyle line! UK's first public slopestyle course comes to life at Twisted Oaks bike park, in this episode we build the start drop and first jump before riding, would you hit this?
The UK'S first year round slopestyle course has started to take shape at the amazing Twisted Oaks Bike Park in Suffolk, UK. I've always wanted a mountain bike slopestyle line to ride throughout the year and when I told the guys at the bike park they jumped on the idea and now the build has started. This will be a multi part series where you will see the build process and development of this sick slopestyle line come to life. You will also get a chance to have your input because this will actually be open to the public so you'll be able to come over and test your skills! This first episode see's the build of the first drop and then into the first jump where you see some crashes and test jumps on the Britain's only slopestyle line!
I hope you enjoy the video!

I think that two quarter-pipes would go well after the step up, but with a spice: the entry should be on the left, and you could transfer to a landing (an other quarter pipe) on the right, which would be angled maybe 45 degrees from the entry. The landing quarter-pipe would then cross the section of track right before the entry. The quarter pipes should probably have a wallride (nearly a 360 corkscrew) around them (landing right next to the landing quarter pipe) to give an option to the riders. It sounds a bit dumb but I think it would look epic and ride well.

After the QP, you should build a big whale tail or pucker pad, the landing off that would give you tons of speed into a big sender

A hip into berm with a shark fin, double roller into same or the QP or another double in between the landing and start of berm. Cheers looks mint already and so good of the twisted oak guys to help bring your vision into a reality 💥💯🤙🏻🍻

Sam, the landing is not lending itself to big speed until its super packed. Just build a couple rollers you can either double or pump over into the big left hander! Then have a banger after the turn.

Finally some redemption since your heartbreaking backyard story! Just few things I have on my mind...The drop should be 1 meter higher and the landing steeper and at least half meter taller too. That way the step-up jump would work without any effort and the airtime would be even bigger. 🙌 And about the next features I would love to see you guys build a nice on-off box that would lead into a guarter pipe with landings on both sides. After that the course beggs for a 4pack - two jumps (one steeper the other more mellow takeoff). Anyways, keep it up, loving some trailbuilding content!!!👌🔥✨

Yes Leopardhead!! I love that you've teamed up with Twisted Oaks to make this, good on ya! Rather than a quarter pipe as the next feature, i would love to see a gap to wallride, either a curved one or set at 45degrees on the corner. This is a feature we used to see in a lot of videos and slopestyle comps back in the days but not so much recently. Would look so cool in the forest making it out of wood like the start drop and next takeoff. Whatever you decide we all know it's gonna be EPIC!!!

This is proper, big ups to the twisted oaks crew. My vote is for a big hip / berm thing-- with alanding that slopes down into a big downhill berm to the left, giving you the option of how far you want to go on hip. If one would be inclined, thinking it could provide a massive amount of air if you hit it from right to left a bit, landing downhill. If the landing is sloped a bit down like that, thinking the optional quarter pipe sitting at an angle to the right would be possible if you skip the kicker, as that would be the steeper part of the landing / berm. Cool project tho, looking forward to seeing the rest.

It would be sick if you put a big transfer jump in the middle of the landing and the quarter. Make a big hip take off on the right side of the trail and a hip landing on the left side of the trail. So it’s like you are jumping across the trail. Kinda like a spine but the take off and the lander are separate and there is a gap in between. Love your video. Always excited when you post👍

I’ve been there a few times, it’s quite a long drive for me but always worth it, so much fun in a small space ✌🏽 I think an arked quarter/wall-ride would be mega on that corner, maybe just a couple of rollers after the step up to pump some more speed 🤷🏽‍♂️

That berm would be perfect for Semenuk-esque radar dish, to come in from the left and track 270 around to exit in the new direction. That's some video game kind of stuff, though. Maybe a fast roller like the one on the Silver Star slopestyle course above the drop? The course that Matt Macduff and Brett Rheeder built? So maybe a fast roller like the Silver Star one, angling the track around into a berm-wall ride-shark fin feature to get you out onto the track moving back in the opposite direction.

Hello Sam pilgrim, My name is sam as well . I personally think you need a ramp higher than the roll in. This is so all people get the perfect speed for the step down. (So like a roll-in for the step down)At the same time the landing of the step down needs to be further away and bigger from the drop off point so you come in with a little more speed to clear the step up. Many thanks for reading sam.
