Yeah, he does this miracle performance and then says thank you to a bunch of people. Based on his other performances, he would have spent more time thanking various people, but he didn't know hardly any Chinese at the time - that che-che was thank you." I'm guessing he knew a few survival words for traveling, plus maybe "5 minutes" for stage cues. But it was probably the first time he had a full blown orchestra in a singing competition. This was a well funded 13 week show. So he really was thankful for all the performing support and the massive publicity he got from just this first performance in the 2017 Singer show.
