Love this! I’ve just made a folding palette box. I put another piece of wood on top with torsion hinges for water colour. The box part was made from two cheap art panels from Aldi.

Very fun and very informative! I am building up to plein air but have to figure out all the details, like easel, how to carry stuff etc. thanks for all the insight!

The raised frame at the end is a great idea.

Thanks Oscar, it really speeds up the drawing process. I try not to overuse the straight-edge though, it makes the paintings look a bit stiff.
