The 3DS is by far my favorite dedicated handheld ever made. The library is so rich and deep, and SO MANY JRPGs. I love it. And the backwards compatibility. I never had a DS back in the day (I got a PSP instead), but my 3DS let me discover that library.

Radiant Historia: Perfect Chronology is THE MOST expensive game I ever bought for my 3DS. Over $70 dollars.

The 3DS is a JRPG heaven. More if you count the DS library. Is nuts! Also a lot of games are so uniques for the system like the Etrian Odyssey saga. I strongly recommend The Alliance Alive.

Metroid Samus Returns continues to be my favorite entry in the series. Dread was fantastic but there's just something about that 2DS screen and speakers that keeps bringing me in.

Amazing collection! The Mario & Luigi RPGs would be a great addition to the JRPG collection, I believe people don't love them as much but I freaking do. They're fun, relaxing games and would totally recommend them to an RPG lover.

Awesome collection! The 3DS is a great JRPG machine with it's library, access to the DS library and Virtual console library. Fire Emblem Echoes Shadows of Valentia is definitely my most treasured game on the system. I normally love Fire Emblem and Hidari's art for the characters made me love the game to another level.

I also recommend you get dragon quest 7 for the 3DS Yes, the game is insanely long but trust me that is a game that people should not overlook. Especially when European fans petition square enix to actually get this ported to the west. Please do not sleep on the Dragon Quest series people

I love to see 3DS collections, and you’ve got one heck of one! Every time I go to flea markets, my #1 item to look for is 3DS games (especially non-Triple A games). Lately I’ve been on the lookout for a physical of Stella Glow - get it and I’ll be content with my 3DS collection for a long while; it’s an absolute gem of a game I’ve just gotta get physically!

Great collection. I also picked up my 3ds in late 2016 and really got into collecting after the switch came out and people stopped caring about it. Got so many good games for cheap then. The 3ds is my absolute favorite console of all time. I currently have over 200 games across US, PAL and Japanese regions in addition to 8 consoles. There are a still alot of games I would love to add but not many must buys anymore. I look forward to more interesting 3DS videos from you in the future.

3DS, I had an interest in 2018 and started buying some game. Dam their games are fun! Just finished Stella Glow about 2 weeks ago, great game. Best handheld ever!

I remember back in 2011 I had my first full-time job and I saved so much money to get a 3DS because I saw legend of Zelda ocarina of Time 3D and I wanted to play it. My favorite games on the 3DS are fire, emblem Awakening and Fates, style savvy series, bravely default and second, super Mario 3D Land, Kirby planet Robobot, Super Smash bros and shovel Knight so many games gave me so many good memories.

Dragon Quest 7 3D remake is probably my favorite 3DS game. Probably because I played the original Dragon Warrior 7 on Playstation as my first Dragon Quest/Warrior game.

Aaah the 3DS :). A system I stuck with from launch day right up until 2019. Still play it every now and then to this day. One of my favorite systems ever and my favorite Handheld of all time. I pride myself of owning every physical release atlus game. 2 reasons I brought them. I knew they would eventually Increase in price and I wanted to play them. I love the Etrian oddysey and persona Q games in particular. I even went as far as to import an American 3DS XL just so I can buy the NTSC boxed games that never came out over here in the UK like popolocrois: a story of seasons fairytale and code of princess. Yep I love the 3DS lol. I already miss that era between 2011 - 2019. Eagerly awaiting new releases each year.

What an amazing collection! Seriously I would buy the majority of them if they weren't so pricey! My 2 latest 3DS purchases (about 6 months ago) were the ones you showed side by side: Radiant Historia and 7th Dragon 3! And I still have to play them! My favorite game on the 3DS is still Fantasy Life and I was taken by surprise by it! I'm not super big into Chibbi style but that one was so charming and fun! I really want to get Ever Oasis some day! Great video and keep up the good work!

Etrian Odyssey IV is a dang good game. V is more of a return to the original formula, so a good place to start, I suppose.

I finally after owning Radiant Historia: Perfect Chronology for 2-3 years finally played it through this year. I agree with you man. It’s one of my favorite, if not one of the best underrated JRPGs I have ever played. I look forward to coming back to play it in a few years.

Believe it or not we have almost the SAME collection of games (excluding the platformer ones). I remember people hatin' LBX way back when it was released, said twas for kids, heck that was one of my favorite games in the 3DS, great collection you got there.

Thank you for the shoutout of Ever Oasis it deserve more love. Now while Fire Emblem is my favorite Nintendo series, Etrian Odyssey is my favorite RPG series that collection is my prize possesion. I have all physical copies except 4 (digital) and while Nexus is a proper sendoff I wished we got Untold 3.

Man, 3DS was such a damn good handheld. As great as the Switch is, it really did kind of kill future prospects of Nintendo handheld gaming. Like, there was just something so special about the handheld specific titles, and while the Switch can BE a "handheld" it doesn't have that same level of... "magic" for lack of a better word.

I don't have a lot of 3DS games, but I love the ones I have and fortunately I am able to borrow plenty of games from my brother who has a large 3DS collection. All of the SMT games are definitely worth getting and SMT IV is by far my favorite game I've played on the 3DS as well as being one of my all-time favorite games.

The 3DS is definitely number 1 or 2 for me. I adored the GBA back in the day and I have mad nostalgia for it and the games from it. The Legacy of Goku series, Battle Network, and some of the best Pokemon games ever made. I love the classic 16/32 bit style RPGs that last about 20 hours for a standard playthrough but have content, replayability or post game enough to last well into the 100s. Always ensured I felt like I had a full experience without feeling like I was wasting time, while offering me the opportunity to spend even more time when I just couldn't put a game down. Plus I could play my GBC games on it and while I was able to get my favorite Zelda games in the Oracle series onto my 3DS through the eShop, the experience using the cartridge and growing up with that really biazes me towards the original experience, even if the better screens and save states really do make the virtual console releases the best way to experience the games. That said, the 3D on the 3DS is probably one of my most favorite mechanics ever. It completely changed how I saw games, both literally and figuratively, and having the Virtual Console with GBC, GBA thanks to my ambassador program, SNES since I have the New 3DS, and all of the 3D classics and new games. I really go back and forth between the 2 and the only reason I think the 3DS is a little held back is because so many of the games were just a bit too demanding to run well with the 3D a bit too often, some abandoning it altogether, some even not managing to run well in 2D mode, and the screens really do just have a watery resolution for a number of games, even on the original sized 3DS, the New 3DS really missing out on a chance to fix this with even just a 20 or 30% increase to the screen resolution. Still looks good enough on the standard models, but it could look better. The anime cutscenes in all the Fire Emblem games look so crisp, yet the in game cutscenes and battle scenes, and even more so other games just look like they're sunken. A true shame we never got an HD3DS. I'd pay good money for that, heck, I'd even pay my entire collection a second time if it'd get me a system that could play all my games at a smooth 30 or 60 fps with 3D on all of them at even 360p

Picked up a 3DS for the first time this year. I've had a Switch for awhile now, and it's good, but man, the 3DS is really something else. I've finally gotten addicted to Fire Emblem on it and right now it's full steam ahead lol

I love the 3DS so much and it is responsible for introducing me to so many amazing JRPG franchises such as SMT, Fire Emblem, Stella Glow, and Bravely Default (along with many others!). My favorite game on the 3DS is between Fire Emblem Fates Conquest & Radiant Historia. Both have great stories, but the combat I think is what separates them from the rest of the games I have.

My 3DS physical collection is about 80 games, and I have almost every game I really wanted except for most of the Etrian Odyssey games. Need to get those.

Hey, great collection, although a glaring omission is Luigi's Mansion 2, one of the best games on the system ! lol it's interesting your comments about Samus Returns, there's a few other 3DS games that are better than their reputation would have you believe too, including Federation Force, it's really not a bad attempt at an FPS on the 3DS, the 3D effect is gorgeous too, same goes for Hey Pikmin, Chibi-Robo:Zip Line and all five Skylanders games. Hey Pikmin in particular is a really enjoyable little game and the Skylanders games are always written off due to the toys-to-life gimmick but they're actually really great games in their own right, the 3DS versions especially so. The 3DS is such an incredible system, second only to the GameCube for me.

I don't know if you've heard of the Zero Escape trilogy but you might like those parts 2 & 3 are 3DS games and the original is on the DS. Zero Escape 1 & 2 are some of the best storytelling I've ever experienced in gaming.

Yokai Watch 3 sealed and my copy of Fire Emblem Fates Special edition with the special cartridge that includes all the games and extra chapters on the cart are my most expensive ones.

*Metroid Samus Returns* is probably my favorite 3DS game, with *Zelda A Link Between Worlds* & *Mario 3D Land* as 2nd & 3rd. If I had to choose a non-Nintendo game, it'd be *Dragon Ball Fusions* as it's one of those 'hidden gems' that came out near the end of the 3DS' life. I still have a backlog of 3DS games I haven't played. Too many games, too little time to play them.

Dragon quest 8 as well as professor layton vs. Phoenix wright are the 2 games I wish I picked up years ago. They're so expensive and the last games I want for my 3ds

Rodea the sky soldier is also available on the Wii and Wii U if you did not know =) I heard that the Wii version is the preferred.

I would recommend these titles as well: Zelda Majoras Mask Zelda Ocarina of Time Zelda Link between worlds Shinobi Monster Hunter Stories Popolocrois Story of seasons Luigis Dark Moon Dragon Quest VII One Piece Romance Dawn Conception II Cave Story Code Princess Code Princess and Cave Story have been ported to the Switch but they look and play the best on the 3ds.

There is one game 7th Dragon VFD. Is an excellent game. Shame that it's the last in series.

My favorite game is fire emblem awakening and Radiant Historia .LBX is great. I put 100 hours into SMT devil survivor overclocked. I beat every game that you have. I still play my 3ds I am trying to beat all of my games for the second time. The 3ds is my favorite system.

Very nice 3ds collection but you are missing some jrpg masterpiece. You really need Alliance alive, it's similar to Legend of Legacy but it's better in every aspect. Fossil fighters frontier is really fun, explore to find new dinosaur to your team, if you looking something different. Return of popolocrois is very cool game with funny characters. The difficulty is very easy in beginning but it's fix near the end. Etrian mystery dungeon is my best rogue like game. Very balance and lot characters choice. Dragon ball fusions is really good turn based game, this game really surprise me. Monster hunters stories is one of the best title on 3ds, definitly not like other monsters hunters titles. Rune factory 4 is really cool action rpg, a must have.

Don't think Etrian Oddysee is gonna top SMT Strange Journey, lol. But at least you got the remakes with more story.

As someone who’s had it with Pokemon titles being constantly shoved in my face, this video was great to watch and see the more underrated, quality games the 3DS has to offer. I’m still getting through Strange Journey, and the dungeon designs and atmosphere is godly.

Final Fantasy Explorer was a very slow seller in Germany. Also other 3DS games like "Ever Oasis" i like EO but too much copies. After the stores sell out the games. It ist no where top find.

Etrian Odyssey V and 7th Dragon III Code VFD are my white whales on the 3DS 😭 I can’t find PAL versions anywhere…

The 3DS is a really great console. I only have a few games, because I only play JRPGs. But also have 2 Zelda games. And I sold Kid Icarus Uprising. I may like the game, but I will never play it again. I don't want to break my hands. I also got Stella Glow before the eshop closed down adding funds. I played every Fire Emblem game on the 3DS and my favorite JRPGs of all time are Tales of the Abyss and Radiant Historia. Abyss is still the best tales game in existence and no one can convince me otherwise. Bamco will never be able to top the story they told in Abyss. This is also why I didn't buy or play any of the newer games. Abyss just set the bar too high. Even Symphonia set the bar so high that it can't be topped. And Radiant Historia, I cried during the ending of that game. And during so many scenes. I played this when I was sick in bed and the amount of crying I did was insane. One of the best games I ever played. Abyss is still at the top though. And I also have an insane Pokemon collection. Because I love Pokemon. I wish they weren't closing the eshop. There are so many games I didn't get to look at, but I also don't have infinite money. At least I can play Stella Glow when I get to it. And maybe finish ProjectXZone 2. Really great game. But my library on Switch is also growing and I kinda have many games to play stil. But I really love my 3DS.

no, final fantasy explorers is pure crap. I was so excited for it and bought it on release hoping for a somewhat monster hunter experience (which is what they were obviously trying for). The mechanics were way more watered down than I had anticipated. Watch the gameplay at most. Again, it's a bad game.
