As long as the rig is still functional and allows you to do what you need to do, there's no shame in wanting to look cool. People spend a lot of time on their appearance, clothes, jewelry, hair, makeup etc. because it's about inspiring confidence. You hit the nail on the head when you said rolling up to a gig with a rig like this makes you feel confident - which often, in turn, makes you more confident in your ideas and performance as a director/cinematographer. It also makes clients tend to trust you a bit more. Props to you for spending some time to talk about it at the end here.

Very similar to my rig. Anamorphic and I'm even using the Nucleus M. I have a Polarpro matte box with the variable ND on its way. I usually set mine up to be shoulder-mounted though.

I have a Pocket 4k and a Panasonic G9 and you can get the angle of view with the Pocket 4k. the G9 has a 6k photo node that shoots 6k video in 4:3 or 3:2 modes, so I've done some test. The bug difference with the Pocket 4k to remember is that the sensor is actual bigger than the G9 and original GH5. The sensor is closer to the GH5s, but I do believe it's a hair bigger.

You have a Vocas MB 350 mattebox. Vocas its a well known professional camera accessories maker from Holland. Your matte box in my opinion it is much better than the new cheap matte box Tilta just launch. Its a professional matte box you can find in professional film environments. The Vocas matte boxes are sturdy, made of great materials and durable, I have one mb 256 for 7 years now and it's been working great since the first day, they are not heavy at all, at least compared to the big arri or occonor ones. Your matte box its a little old but still functional, with 3 filter trays one of them horizontal for 4x5´65 filters and a rotatory one for polarized filters, it has the inner flags system, that its one of the best design in matte box I have ever seen and lens clamp on system, Its a professional matte box and not cheap at all It was 1500 € a few years ago. So, please, inform yourself before saying something it's no name, and keep it, you will not regret and wont have better results with the Tilta one, also you will safe some money.

Basically Tilda promotion and taking a micro 4/3 camera and then sticking some giant dumb-ass anamorphic lens on it. Anamorphic is 99% pretentious crap, Not natural in any form, Roger Deakins is right about this.
