I know I'm just starting anthuriums and I just bought a bunch off of the auction sites. So now I have a whole bunch I bought locally too. So I hope I can do as well as you. Your anthuriums are gorgeous and I love your descriptions. You're very fun and I enjoy to hear what you have to say.

Gorgeous collection!! 😍 I used to be intimidated by anthurium but not any more. They all live in my normal household conditions and have been so easy care. You’re right about treating them like any other aroid. Downside is, I’ve unlocked an new plant species and need them all! 😆

Haha yay!! They are pretty dangerous to get into. There's no end to the different kinds to collect! 😅

Those seeds you made are really exciting! That sounds like a really stunning cross. Interested to see how the parentage expresses in different seedlings. I hope you keep at least a few to see how they change from sibling to sibling. Great collection!

Ohh I'm sure I'll end up keeping more than a few hehehe I have no self-control. I feel like I can see so many differences already!

Ps I've also always wondered if we could cross a palli and a queen? I think it would be such a pretty cross
@planttherapii Жыл бұрын
That would be so beautiful!! I tried to look that up once and it wasn't looking like they were similar enough to cross successfully. It never hurts to try tho!

The superbum leaves remind me of canoe paddles. I might need one🤭

Great collection! I'm definitely looking to buy more Anthuriums. I love the Superbum and birds nest types but they take a lot of room. I want a pallidaflorum and veitchii next I think.
@planttherapii Жыл бұрын
I think the pallidiflorum and veitchii would be fantastic 'easier' anthurium

They're not as scary as they look. I swear!

@@planttherapii I believe you but I've killed two Superbums so I'm still a bit discouraged to try again. 😆
@planttherapii Жыл бұрын
Oh no I'm sorry! I'm not sure what conditions you're working with, but I feel like superbum are pretty drought tolerant. I forget about mine for weeks at a time 😅

Always great timing Madison! Two days ago I received a Hookeri starter plant that I have high hopes she will become beautiful. First one of many?

Anthurium get a bad rap for being hard to care for but in my experience that doesn't hold true for people who can read what plants are saying 😂
@planttherapii Жыл бұрын
Absolutely! And most people are so kind and want to help if there's a problem plant!

You seem sweet, would recommend finding your own vibe though. You are doing everything from expressions, phrases and words... everything just exactly like Kaylee Ellen. You have beautiful plants and do well with them, but the whole trying to model yourself exactly like someone else is a complete turn off. Just an observation.

Thanks for the tips? While I do watch others videos because I love plants, I am myself. I don't know any other way to be!
