Thank you so much for your video. I am currently considering applying for Maastricht and I would say that your video was more informative than all the official Maastrich pages!! I also enjoyed that melancholical vibe 😀 and attempt to describe all the aspects of student life

You're welcome, I am very happy that you found the video useful! Indeed, there is not a lot of information out there, so let me know if you'd like to hear any other piece of info. Regardless of which university you end up choosing, it's going to be a transformative experience so I hope you enjoy it :)

Hello! I'm so glad I found your video; it was exactly what I was looking for to help me decide! The only thing that still bumps me out is my future after getting this degree. What's your opinion on Master's and overall job opportunities after ELS? As a non-EU student, I feel like I don't get that many opportunities, or would you disagree? What's more, I am an ambitious student and would like to continue with LLM at LSE for example and I wonder, if I finish ELS with excellent grades, is it possible? In your opinion, is ELS in Maastricht well-respected on a global scale? Thanks in advance.

Thank you for this video. I consider majoring in European law in Maastricht but am a bit afraid of not doing well on the job market. Is this degree enough to get a “good” job?

Thank you very much for the information that you present. I just wanted to ask, is it relatively easy to find a job in netherland after graduated from L.L.B european law Maastricht University? And what kind of job is available for the graduate?

Hi! Thank you for such an informative video, it was precisely what I was looking for. I'm going to be applying to the LLB European Law program later this year and I have a few questions if you don't mind : - did you touch upon Roman Law during the program and was there any Latin language course during the bachelors? - Are there any Maths courses in the program - statistics, probability, or something similar to that? - I'm aware Maastricht highlights its PBL system which you mentioned during your video as well. Did that reflect in the way you studied? Was it more of memorization for exams or re-analyzing problems you discussed during your classes/lectures? Thanks once again and looking forward to your response : )

Hi Eks, I'm glad you enjoyed the video! Here are my thoughts on the questions you asked: - We do touch upon Roman Law in the course "Introduction to European Legal History", but the course only lasts for about a month, so I would say that there is not a lot of roman law. - As far as other disciplines, like Maths and Latin, purely in the European Law LLB there is no focus on either. On some courses, however, where some economics are involved (such as in the course "States, Markets and European Integration"), we do touch upon some very rudimentary notions of mathematics. Nevertheless, there is room in the programme for you to take electives from other faculties, so you could definitely take some maths classes (and possibly Latin as well). But I wouldn't recommend the LLB if you're looking for a broad interdisciplinary degree, it's still very much legally self-contained. - Oh yes, the PBL system is the big selling point of Maastricht. In classes we focus on solving cases, so applying the theory we learn. The exam very much mirrors the tutorials throughout the year, so studying for the exams is a lot about revisiting your tutorial notes and the cases you have studied. This practical approach means that, on a first level, you do indeed have to memorise some theory. But then it's all about how you can apply it to a given set of facts, which forces you to have to engage with the text on a second level, creating arguments based on the theory. Having said that, exams for courses often contain one theoretical question (out of three questions in total). I hope this answers your questions, let me know if there is anything that you would still like some clarification on! I wish you good luck with your choice and all the best for the future :)

Thank you for this video! Like all the people in this comment section, I am also considering applying for this course, however I'm not sure if there are good job prospects. I would appreciate to hear about your experience and opinion on this matter. Thank again for the video and I'm looking forward to your response!
