Guys, don't waste too much time chasing butterflies. Work on your garden and they will come to you. But be very careful and take your time to pick who you settle down with. Big difference between a good life or a train wreck.

Health. Early in 2024 in HCM l had food poisoning & a bad cold. I went to buy basic drugs but the drug store was opening later (Sunday). A stranger saw me, he made a call. Other strangers gave me bottled water. A few minutes later an ambulance rolled up. A pair of nurses checked me out, wrote a prescription. I volunteered to pay, but the nurse said No Charge. This how people help each other, with generosity & kindness in VietNam. Thank you, VietNam! During the peak of the COVID period, Vietnamese & Foreigners were treated alike, no forced deportations and free food during lock downs. Another example of Vietnamese generosity. Great country, great people.

Great video Ken. You described Vietnamese women to a tee. I came back and found my wife in 2011 and yup, she's 28, educated, business oriented, driven, pretty much everything you described. Living in the US, my wife started over and graduated with a finance degree. I'm near retirement and she has a professional job. I call her my sugar mama now. What a life 😁

Don't be too comfortable. Remember that women are hypergamous by nature. They are never contented with what they have and always focus on what they don't have. Soon she might start thinking she settled and that she can do better than you. Then she will start resenting you and then the disrespect will begin and then the divorce will follow. Then when you try to do something about it to make her happy. The more you will try the more she will resent you. She will say that she outgrew you and will look for a better bigger deal. You must keep working on yourself. You must keep growing. Do not become complacent. Never trust women, my friend. They are not logical beings. They are slaves to their emotions. They are also hypergamous by nature. It's in their DNA. They cannot help it. That is their survival mechanism.

I like that you brought up how incredible Vietnamese women are. My friends and some Vietnamese girls I've met in Korea and Japan are mostly like you said, very focused, driven, and resilient. They can speak 3 languages (Vietnamese, Japanese/Korean/Chinese, English), compared to me who speak broken Vietnamese and broken English lol. The only thing I really have over them is that I was lucky to be in the U.S. where anyone could get a well paying job if they try. But these girls, they definitely work much harder than me in their job. Thank you for taking the time to do these informative videos. I continue to watch them and I'm on a look out for an opportunity to move to Vietnam. My wife and I were lucky enough to be "stuck" in HCMC during the 2 years COVID lol.

I think you're restricting your definition of safety. Safety not only refers to crime but also public safety. The bottom line is how safe are you? If you fear for your life crossing the street or walking on the sidewalk, you are not safe. Vietnam is not a safe country. It may not have as much crime as the west but the public safety is shockingly terrible. And the police are completely useless.

As a retire Viet Kieu who like beaches/ocean, Vietnamese food, Vietnamese woman (my wife), Vietnam is such an ideal place for visit or long term stay (around 6 months per year). Especially, as you mention, medical service is now more modernized and much cheaper than the US. Not to mention the cost of living is much much more affordable than developed countries and the luxury of quick and easy travel to all the ASEAN countries, Australia and New Zealand, East and South Asia.

Appreciate your video! Very insightful and accurate. I'm a VN currently living in SF and have been to Vietnam many times since the 90s and have seen 1st hand how Saigon has developed. Back then, a US passport was like honey to a swarm of bees. I am very happy and glad that VN women are more educated and career minded now than before. I lived in Singapore (had a startup) for a short time in 2005 and saw how Singaporean women were and was very impressed with how they view and carry themselves. VN women are starting to be at the level which is great. I'm in my late 40s now w/ a family so frequent travels to Asia is rare. I will always have ❤ for the VN ppl and one item on my bucket list is to do philanthropy there. I have visited a few temples in Saigon, Can Tho, Phu Qui island, etc. but I want to do more. While the ppl in the city are doing well, the folks in the countryside are left behind and the lifestyle gap gets wider and wider. It's good to see you making that leap to living in VN and building up a business there. Your videos are very informative and appreciated. I've interacted w/ all types of ppl in VN and the loudest folks in the crowd are the ones with the least $$ while the most quiet non flashy ones have the most $$.

Praying for Commie Vietnam to prosper is like praying for Commie China to prosper. The utterly corrupt and brutal totalitarian regimes treat 95% of its Vietnamese population, the enslaved and exploited citizens, like garbage, and only 5% Vietnamese Commie Party members enjoy the loots and robbed lands. That's why the vast majority of the citizens want to get out whenever they can, as evidenced by 39 dead Vietnamese migrants stuck in UK container truck recently on the news, and that's only what's been reported, unfortunately.

Love Vietnam also. Unfortunately with a socialist government the poor will not advance. The communist members get all the benefits of the tourists dollars and investment and make much more than the average man off the streets. There is no movement by the government to help the average man making $300 a month. The government like unions in America will only hire friends and members.

As always, do your deep research before committing. Just a few facts that you might find helpful to your research ... Hanoi is most polluted city in Southeast Asia, and that's one of the reasons Covid-19 have been killing way more Vietnamese than citizens of neighboring countries, as persistent pollution severely damage lungs and make them vulnerable to infections. The young, the old, and the handicaps are permanent 5th class citizens under Commie regime, as the disadvantaged members of the society are often taken advantages of by others with no safety net nor societal protection whatsoever (fairly common sights are tattered pre-teeny kids and old men and women in their 60's, 70's begging or selling lottery tickets on the streets), and almost everyone 95% of population get abuses by the utterly corrupt and brutal Vietnamese Commie regime as their lands can be robbed by it anytime. Even during the pandemic when most countries provided aids to their citizens, the ruling Vietnamese Commies not only didn't provide aids (only about 1% received them and those were usually the members of privileged Commie ruling class or their own associates. Yes, they took citizens' tax money to selectively give it to themselves) coordinated with each other to exploit the citizens even more with their dangerous nostril test kits (made by their shell company Việt á) that they falsely claimed of having been approved by World Health Organization (WHO). The result was deadly, as tens of thousands of people died needlessly. Yes, these ruling Vietnamese Commie lowlifes saw the pandemic as another great opportunity not to help but to make money out of the already indigent Vietnamese citizens most of whom could barely survive after being steered like animals by the brutal Vietnamese Commie military police into barbwired, unhygienic quarantined areas sleeping on the floors with inadequate food, water, toilet, beds, and medicine. All true. Do your research. Caveat emptor! Search for patients lying on concrete floors in hospital corridors and even under beds from Google Images. Torrential floods essentially all over the country half of the year, while HCM is a sinking city. Good luck with your decision!

I’m in the south in the US and recently started dating a north Vietnamese girl. What you say sounds very accurate, smart, focused on career and very hard working. Appreciate the broad view you provide.

Thoroughly enjoyed this video.. you seemed much more relaxed and personable. As always cheers for the great content. If there’s ever a part two, would you mind touching base on the quality and equality of the educational system?

totally agreed with on the issues of trust with local people and the dating scene in Vietnam .Vietnamese women are smart and intelligent . They are certainly not easy picking as being portrayed in the Hollywood Vietnam war movies

I've spent a total of around 7 years in Vietnam over the years. I fell in love with it as soon as I got off the plane on my first visit in 2005. I feel so priveliged to have seen the incredible development of Vietnam since then. I spent 8 months of 2023 in Vietnam after a few years away and I was afraid that all the modernization would have adversely affected it but I was surprised to find that it still had the same 'feel' and the people hadn't really changed. The nightclub girls demanding you buy a bottle are definitely not that common and they are most 'working' girls and to be kept away from as in any city. The nightlife in Saigon is absolutely world class and you can find all kinds of things to cater for al tastes and budgets. I hope to be able to live the rest of my life there in future....

Thank you for your time and posting. IMO, you tend to be more trustworthy when you are young (how many managers did I believe when they never even thought about completing their agreement), and as you grow, you realize many people are not trustworthy. I am really thinking about retiring in Vietnam. Luckily, I'm old, single, and happy. :)

Thank you, brother, for continuing to update us viewers about Vietnam. You, definitely, are not lying when you said that Vietnam is safer than the U.S. (currently for Asians). Especially in cities such as Chicago, NY, SF--with all the anti-Asian sentiments... couldn't agree with you more.

Gosh, I'm glad I met my Vietnamese wife in 1998 in Nha Trang and not Saigon in 2024. She invited ME out to go dancing with her workmate and my fellow ex-army travelling friend. That was a bit dear, but from then on it was pho, coffee or a simple meal each day and trips on her motorbike. I wasn't even looking for a girlfriend, let alone a wife. We ended up living in Nha Trang for twelve happy years and now here we are 25 years later, still married, still in love with a teenage daughter in Australia. We all speak, read and write Vietnamese and English. Thanks for the video, it's faultless and full of good information.

Interesting, its hard to identify, but the mood of your videos has seemed to change. Your content is still great, interesting and insightful, but maybe changing from more energetic and business to a more personable and lifestyle presentation. Both are good, keep going strong!
