This is my experience taking antidepressents and a review on each of these. The medications I have taken are: sertraline (zoloft), mirtazapine, and citalopram. I talk about the side effects and possible withdrawal from these. Anti depressants are such a controversial topic. It's something we need to talk about.

Symptoms I had:
Sertraline - Dry mouth
- Low sex drive
- Weight loss
- Tired
- Anxiety/panic attacks
Mirtazapine - Tired
- Weight gain
Citalopram - Weight loss
- Dry mouth (slightly)
- Low sex drive (slightly)

People who talks bad abouth antidepression medication eighter had a bad experience or have neven been really depressed. I´v rather have my bones broken than have a depression, cant imagen anything worse. I hate it. Im on sertraline

Ciltopram made me depressed suicidal and manic and had extreme panic attacks. I put on weight too. Now I'm off antidepressants and all mood stabilizers. I have lost over 4 stones!!!! Keep it up love Tasha xxxxxxx Wonderful Video. Xxxxxxxx 🌎🌏🎶👍🙏👌👆👏💞💖💕.

I was on 200mg of zoloft when I was 16. It turned me into a numbed out zombie.

10 years ago i use citalopram and it was great but 3 days ago my doctor tell me i must use it again i use 10mg and side-effect Peaks up to 2 hours and make me crazy, i can't use it anymore

I’m on Propranolol and Mirtazapine the combination really works for me. I just started the propranolol last week and it was very helpful for my anxiety but my doctor is planning to get me off Mirtazapine... did you experience any withdrawal symptoms with Mirtazapine?

Love the accent darling! How much of each medication did you take. Did you take as much as 100mg of zoloft? Im atm on zoloft and thinking about switching or adding mirtazapine. Anxiety is better but not depression

Great point to start your video. Such ignorance about medication a lot of people say just get therapy. It's boring. Meds are important. I for example need my benzos.

I'm from the States, and your accent is beautiful! I think medication with therapy is really helpful. It's hard to find the right medication, though. Lots of trial and error!

My first panic attack was super scary and overwhelming took over my whole body i was outside and i had to sit down by a tree my ❤️ was beating so fast I thought I was having a heart attack as well. I've had them after like maybe a few times a year and I've kindof learned how to deal with them better and just tell myself to breathe and it will soon be over and I don't have to sit down anymore but I always freeze in place and like get a wave of like panic over my whole body like I would describe it as a fear that turns physical...it makes my heart race ...main reason I thought it was a heart attack my grandpa has had heart attack but it passed within a minute and then I was fine. But they are scary every time I get them and no fun at all. I think the first time I got really dizzy too

Only mirtazapine helped my depression,I regret not taking 45 mg instead of 30 and now I just take 15 mg,hope to increase the dosage soon,it's the ONLY antidepressant that helped me,ALL the others made me even more anxious and sad

You are really brave to try so many kinds of medications. I was prescribed sertraline today but I am just too scared to take it after watching videos about the side effects. I live by myself so I don't know what will happen if I have serious side effects.

Mirtazapine all the way! Anti Depressants save lives, especially if you are on the autism spectrum , like me. Achieved things that I couldn't have done without. I was agoraphobic. I don't know why the therapist you went to freaked out about it as I was told Mirtazapine is a gentle one with less withdrawal ..Having been on Seroxat for 19 years, it (Mirtazapine) is more relaxing and not making me manic like SSRIs do x

I’ve been on medication for MDD, OCD for many years. I have tried to stop taking antidepressants and have always had to go back on them because of relapse. I think the danger is that once you are on them it’s very difficult to live without them altogether. I have been on medication for 26 years with maybe a year or two break. If you can get treated without meds do it otherwise you could end up like me.

How is your sleep now being on citalopram? Do you take it in the am or pm?

I completely understand how you feel with the zoloft story. I thought I was having a heart attack a when I was taking Viibryd. I had a terrible panic attack and felt like I was dying--heart pounding and couldn't breathe, my whole body went numb. Zoloft hasn't been working for me as well as it has in the past, so my doc is combining it with Mirtazapine. I hope that it will help! Thank you for sharing your experience with these medications!
