The C-Diff poops are awful. No one understands the urgency until they catch it. Seriously, it is like 10 secs from "the feeling of need" to uncontrollably going. And that's like 20xs a day (if lucky). Great video.

I got c diff about a year ago it was recurring,and my stomach has never been the same, i definitely have post infectious ibs now , i changed my diet to whole foods only and it has helped , i ended up having a FMT to clear the recurring c diff infection, but man my body has never been the same , it is a nasty nasty infection that messes you up. I got ulcers in my colon from it and it has been a battle tested year for sure just trying to recover from it still . I was in a bad place mentally also because of it , i am better now , but wouldn't wish this on anyone . Have a great day everyone GOD bless

The C Diff spores are almost untreatable! I caught C DIFF in July, 2023. I was in the hospital after blood loss. I haven't taken antibiotics for about 6 years, but I had a compromised system so I caught it! Hand sanitation will alcohol DOSE NOT KILL THE SPORES! You MUST use soap and water! Thank you for your Story. If only more people would share vs. hiding the true fact of something embarrassing as "poop" to talk about. I was diagnosed early this year. I was visiting my mother in a nursing home. Talk about the saying "I brought you in to this world and I can take you out". I'm trying not to be so cold but the pain and hurt is so real. I rather have not known how I contracted the disease. I have just finished on my second round of Vancomycin, and I am 59 years of age. I have two more weeks before I can get into see the Gastroenterology. I'm trying to stay positive but it is becoming difficult. I go into health care and I feel unclean and dirty especially since it came back. One thing that I am trying to do is work on my good gut biome. Probiotics are good and all but focus on more of prebiotics. I have made fermented garlic with honey and Elecampane tea from roots and eat the roots as well. Three times a day, to help promote the good health in the gut. I haven't made the announcement yet of this disease but hope to soon after I see my Doc in gastro. That cdiff pain is like no other. The only way I can describe it is as someone is throwing a 50lb or more medicine ball at your stomach, while your intestines feel like theyre on fire, while a hot knife is searing through said intestines. 1st time I thought was horrid. It wasn't nearly as horrible as the second go-around. I made my peace with God that night in the hospital bed. Unless the docs and nurses could help me, I felt that I might've passed. It took months to get better and as a parting gift I now have IBS and take meds for it. 0 stars. Do not recommend.

I have ibd, recurring sibo, and autoimmune issues..and have zero care atm besides the urgent care I went to. How do u know when u need to be hospitalized? I'm still running to the toilet at least every hour. 2 days ago it was every 5-10 mins alllllll day and into the next day. I'm on antibiotics for it but it's really really uncomfortable/painful and I'm so swoolen.

THANK YOU for making & sharing this video… we all know how hard it is to discuss this stuff and how welcome it is hear an actual human speak from a shared experience instead of just that cold and clinical doctor medical-speak. This disease and its treatment makes me feel so untouchable, so separated from other humans and humanity. It kills my spirit even as its killing my guts. Doctors can't really treat the isolation or shame C.diff produces, or hand out injections of courage when needed… just hearing that I'm not alone is so good right now, when all doctors can offer is medicine… don't get me wrong - love my doctors & care teen BUT they are all on the other side of shared human exprtornce. i’m sick with this rn. on dificid and taking florastor probiotic. i didn’t have any of the tell tale symptoms at all!! for the last 3 months, my docs didn’t even think it was an infection. gastro and primary thought it was IBS or IBD. just constipation, w/ very slimy mucus riddled stools. sometimes i had blood in my stool w/ the infection but wiped a bit of blood before, but w/ this it was more. i couldn’t eat, still can’t or even feel like i want to. and i only ever had a fever once. my doc still wants to do a colonoscopy i think bc the only thing that showed up on a CT scan was inflammation of the lower half of my small bowel. hope i don’t have an underlying IBD but if i do i wanna just go ahead and get treated for that. only thing i’m scared of is reinfection and the recovery seems intimidating 😬 don’t even know how i got it. i’m guessing from food. but no idea still. i took flagyl for BV that was caught from a pap-smear by chance, but i had been having constipation before the antibiotics. which i also never had before, both BV and the antibiotics. but that didn’t cure c diff and now my BV is back. but imma apply flagyl cream now bc the flagyl pill was awful for me, and now i feel like it aggravated the c diff 😭

I had c.diff for over 4 years before it was diagnosed. It wasn't for lack of complaining about my symptoms...I was put right on antibiotics. My doctor now has me on 10 weeks of prednisone, in hopes to reduce swelling in my colon from the colitis. I'm still in so much pain. This is a horrible disease!

The way I wish I could forget my time with cdiff. I ended up having cdiff around 7 different times over 2 years when I was first diagnosed. I kept going in and out of the hospital every month and eventually we learned I have a genetic predisposition to get cdiff 😭 I also did so many treatments, flagyl, vanco, and multiple stool transplants

My husband had this. His Dr. Finally put him on Flagyl long term. After 3 months he got over it. It is a probiotic.

A wonderful doctor finally figured out what was wrong with me. I just finished a 2 week course of Vancomycin and am waiting to see how I get along. I also got a related arthritis that CDiff triggers. Did you experience that as well?

It's a really great possibility that you could have caught c diff from the daycare. Its very common in children overwhelmingly. How can it be determined that you definitely didn't get it from daycare? My daughter had it alot in daycare and it's contagious amongst children but it's typically mild cases

I’m going on 6 months, I’ve had Vanco 4x and Dificid once. It’s the dehydration that I’m struggling with now I’m trying to handle myself because I’m a hard stick and it’s hard to get IVs in me so I don’t want to be a pin cushion in the ER for iv fluids.

I have this now. I super frustrated. I’m 52. Took no antibiotic to get it. But I was in a hospital for weeks with my mom and my dad lives in assisted living. I don’t know how this happened. I am on 3rd round of medication vancomycin. The dificid is 4000$. They want me to see GI on Feb 14th. I guess next would be stool sample. But I went to hospital twice when I thought it was gone due to heart rate and headache. My wbc is fine. Everything fine. But I have slight inflammation. This started last October. 😢

So I currently am dealing With a recurrent C Diff, they have me on vancomycin again and like you said it’s strong! & I feel the side effects. I’m currently trying to find a probiotic to take to help or just some type of natural remedies if they exist… Crazy thing is I have no idea how I caught it either…I’m only 33 but I did recently have a baby and a c section but I caught The c diff months after giving birth I’m glad I found this video though because now I know I’m not the only “young” person who caught this. 😅

Just found out today that I have c-diff. Only found out today after messaging my dr to look at my test results that I had to have done last week. Of course I have some questions? I am currently with c.diff entering month 7 😢 after IV antibiotic for appendicitis for 5 days. Failed vanco x1 , dificid x2 now on vanco taper but i can feel that i failed..... struggling with cleaming too much

I am 73. I keep getting c diff from antibiotics. I’ve been sick again and suspect I have it again. So so sick, it’s horrible. I also had C_difff in 2016 I had it for 3 weeks before I went to the hospital I could not eat or drink anything. And to make matters worse I have cerebral palsy and if you think having having diarrhea is a cakewalk compared to c-diff with cerebral palsy

Oh yea..I did 10 days of vancomycin, doctor wants me to retest in a week..but my stool is still mucus like and green..yuck sorry guys 😔. I have diarrhea every other day. Constipated others..I've shed so many tears over this crap girl 😭

For anyone with immune system compromised, how can you take antibiotics and be sure not to catch (activate this)? what can be done to prevent this when you are sure you need to take a course of antibiotics? And why would have been the reason why you got it (I know you said Antibiotics, but were you prone to other diseases)?

currently battling recurrent cdiff... went about 6 months undiagnosed and then finally got a stool test from my GI doctor. (Not her fault that I didn't get one. This was the first time I had ever saw her and I didn't have watery stools luckily so it wasn't really thought to be c diff. Nor had I had a history of Antibiotics) I failed Vanco, then Dificid, and am currently on a 25 day Dificid taper right now. Hoping for the best but this SUCKS. FMT is the next step if this fails. My symptoms before treatment were light stomach pains, EXTREME fatigue, night sweats, elevated heart rate and Anxiety. I never really under stood the gut brain connection until I had this infection, My mental health has never been worse....

I have had c diff for over 3 months since the previous doctor put me on Pylera which was too strong for my body. I had vancomycin for 10 days after 2 weeks the diarrhoea started again. I am going back to the doctor tomorrow. I am getting fed up of the toilet and used over 6 packs of 10 of toilet paper 🙈 I had so many tests it’s so frustrating and exhausting. I’m tired so hopefully tomorrow I get some solution. I lost over 5 kgs and had zero appetite. Yes water diarrhea over 10 times a day lost count, no sleep fever and they did not tell me that recurrence can happen🥹 yes weak immune system. I had to pay for vancomycin as it’s not covered by insurance. The doctor might want me to get a colonoscopy. He might put me back on vancomycin again not sure 🤔 thanks for this video 🥰 it’s is a miserable experience as it affects your life and well being.

C diff is awful,i have crohns and had to get a colectomy,i caught it after i went in for a colonoscopy and it keeps coming back every three weeks after taking vanomycin,ive tried dificid,as well but its expensive,im getting sick of this awful bacteria,has anyone had success with florastor?

Sorry about Ibd and cdiff diagnosis I’ve been in some boat since 2019 chrohns disease sucks, constant fatigue, diarrhea, fistula four of them, iron deficient and recently the current naturalopath im seeing determined that I have an infection raging in my intestines and butthole long sorry story short the herbal cocktail and charcoal protocol doesn’t seem too be working yet so in 2 months time it might be back too the drawing board.

Dificid is over $4000 without insurance. I just finished mine yesterday. I'm unsure if I'm well or not. I'm passing a lot of old blood.
