I'm someone who never ran stadium trucks prior to the t6.2. That has to count for something

So, what happened... Dirt... cleaning was a part of it but it was mainly people demanding more traction and more consistent surface conditions (because they wanted to be able to just grab a handful of throttle and just wanted to copy pro setups instead of tuning to track conditions), and track owners looking for cheaper and easier to maintain surfaces. Unfortunately, this is partially why modern 1/10th scale kits have become so expensive and practically useless on anything other than carpet or sealed clay (exception being Schumacher, somehow they managed to make a car that can be set up for any surface without swapping parts). 1/8th scale still runs on dirt, though. ST... Short Course Trucks happened. The popularity of SCTs pretty much eroded away everything else for a while. Buggy managed to recover quickly. STs, though, are still struggling to regain even a fraction of the popularity they had. Partially because everyone tells newbies to run SCT rather than ST for some reason, and partially because the buggy guys (as in people who ONLY care about 1/10th scale buggies and treat anyone who doesn't run the class with contempt, not necessarily just anyone with a buggy) have a stick up their collective ass about anything that isn't a buggy. On-Road... is actually still around to an extent, you just have to look for it. Most of what you'll see is going to be either parking lot racing or indoor carpet. Nitro... still alive and well in 1/8th scale racing. 1/8th scale E buggies have surpassed 1/8th scale nitro buggies in popularity but not to the point where nitro is dying off there. The main draw for nitro racing these days is taking pit strategy into account. The whole "extreme bashing" scene is Kevin Talbot's fault. Granted, that existed before but before he came around it was mainly reserved as a stunt show thing. Kevin was the one who popularized intentionally trying to break RC cars. Carpet racing, like I said before, was as much due to traction demands by drivers and maintenance demands by track owners as it was due to cleaning.

Go get one. Start the movement at your local track.

It's Tamiya dark magenta backed by silver. Unfortunatly the body wasn't very strong so it didn't last long under abuse

Front shocks use the long eyelets, rear ones use the short eyelets😉

"A tad easier to set up" is a massive understatement. Apart from tires, stadium trucks are generally set-and-forget, and as long as you have the right tires on them you'll almost never find a lack of traction.
