To summarize, you had a job that didn't require a degree, it didn't had anything hard to deal with and because of the nature of this job it does not have any potential growth inside the company because Tesla could hire just anyone good enough for the job. Well... I saw the job in LinkedIn and the pay is really good for what you have to do. I understand and respect why you quit but I would say that the fact that the potential growth for this job inside the company is nonexistent and the benefits are not in the same level as someone in a more valuable position it's understandable. I wouldn't expect the same treatment as an engineer or manager. Nonetheless thanks for sharing your experience, I wish the best for you.

Great summary! I wouldn’t say it has no potential for growth but very limited as you can be “seasonal” for a very long time and that doesn’t give me a sense of job security. Me personally, I have two degrees and graduated with honors both times… so I felt overqualified as a driver but not as an advisor. It’s a “broad” position and once you get in the door, it’s basically up to you and the corporate heads what you make of it. Also, the pay I didn’t mention for a reason is based on 2022. So that’s great that it seems higher now. Thanks for watching!

My first Tesla was built in Fremont. It has terrible fit and finish, my second was built in Shanghai. It was almost built as an Audi. Why do they even still build things in America?

Hi I remember when my best friend was in the area as I was getting off the airplane and decided to come pick me up. To My surprise he had just got a Tesla and it was nice. and as he was driving me home, he was playing with the speed and I'm like whoa do not do that man lol H He slowed down and put it on the part where the car drives without me knowing as I was tired and begin to nod BUT I notice he was listening to music jamming and his hands not on the wheel I shot up like are you serious and he just laughing his behind off. My Question to you is did you ever do that lol how was it? were you afraid I understand that it's a cool alternative, but i wonder will it be a good thing for people who cannot drive. It was scary for me and at one point I yelled you either put it on drive or i put you out the car and drive myself lol and he laughed and stop playing but I've always wanted to ask someone who drove did you go there and how was it for you?

Ouuuu lol I love a good story time! He plays all day. I love that. So to answer your first question, we weren't supposed to use that as the car should be in as new condition as possible for delivery so (I can't snitch on myself lolololol). Also, at the time I worked there I personally (my personal opinion) do not think it was not meant for people who cannot drive because it can kick off at any time if you are not present behind the wheel but now they have cars that drive and UBER people around so I'm not sure how the settings vary. The self drive I remember required you to be in the front seat, present and face forward, (not sleep or leaned back) but I've seen people sleep and the car still operating. So I guess I do not quite know. However, if it is not already, then eventually I can see it being for handicap people since it they have the self driving cars operating as Ubers. Does that answer your question? lol And no I was not afraid and I don't think anyone should be afraid of self driving cars. PLANES GO ON AUTOPILOT lol So for our generation, this will become the normal. They wouldn't or shouldn't bring it to market if it's not safe so I trusted that. However, I am smart enough to know that errors, accidents and mistakes happen EVERYDAY, everywhere lol (also when others put it in self drive, it was pretty cool to me lol i love it)

I think Tesla is an awesome place for people to work, but very few will make a career out of it. What I have noticed though is how many former tesla employees go to start their own businesses, and I think that is the most amazing thing about the company, and one of the reasons I love being an active investor, shareholder, supporter, and owner. I wish more companies did more than just make stuff that makes money, but did things in a way that produces more capable people in the economy. I do think Tesla pays less than most of their competition, and this has (traditionally) been balanced out by their stock performance, and benefits, but so many former Tesla employees just talk about how they liked feeling like the teams they worked with were the smartest people they had ever met, or how they had the power to actually do things that would have been beurocratic processes elsewhere, and then they leave and start their own companies, such as Redwood Materials, or Farzad and Joe Justice doing content creation.

The BEST COMMENT this video may receive! So spot on. Finally someone who know's something. Tesla being ran like a startup tech company can definitely inspire an entrepreneur to get started. The "winging it" feel backed by success, the ability to make mistakes through trial and error, the freedom, the bomb team ALL contributed to my good experience working there. But, like the great men you mentioned above, there's more out there for most of us. Glad I got to experience it. Congrats on being an investor. I appreciate your comment! ⚡️

If you buy a Honda or Toyota, then *every* *car* does not come with 'some sort of a problem' as Sky said about Tesla vehicles.

I have a Tesla, I can guarantee every car does in fact come with a problem after owning very many cars. There is no such thing as a perfect car including Honda and Toyota and especially Nissan. If you can't find a problem with every car out there you aren't looking hard enough.

@@tedmoss My family has owned several Honda and Acura cars, and they are fine. No problems after delivery. Tesla cars are widely known to have poor paint, poor fit and finish, and of course FSD and Summon and Smart Summon cannot be trusted. Also, the range that Tesla claims is exaggerated for all their electric vehicles.

I started Tesla last month. My starting pay was 22$ a hour. Just don’t apply for a low labor Job. You will get better benefits and pay and growth opportunities

It wasn’t actual damage, the customer wouldn’t go out their way to tip if it was. He actually enjoyed watching me struggle so it was kinda funny which is why I shared it. He very well could’ve drove the car up himself lol why is the joke not delivering 😂

Basically you start at the bottom of the ladder, so your not really working for Tesla per say, you’re only performing menial tasks that anyone can do regardless of who they are. To be genuinely working for Tesla itself you need an executive role or at least a role with influence working on engineering, design or tech. Not to deflate your self opinion, but you need to understand how large companies work.

I think if you’re handling sales, clients, customer service, cars, delivery, service department and expected to float throughout the company then you definitely work for Tesla lol but to ME it was easy because I worked for another car company for two years. I do think a lot of people could do the job I did BUT bc it’s entry level, they can easily NOT qualify for the jobs you mentioned that really receive amazing pay, benefits, influence and clout. Even if you clean bathrooms at Tesla, you work at Tesla. But like we agree, that won’t get you up the ladder far unless you truly stand out and are qualified for more. Lol and as an entry employee “job guarantee” doesn’t exist which is why I recommend ppl have low expectations (which is hard when you get super excited to work for a major company) Thanks for summarizing in your own way. 🫶🏾
