Jewellery has been a central part of Gottlieb’s life since she was a little girl. Growing up in a small town, she remembers frequently asking her father to take her to the local jewellery store so that she could peek inside its case of antique jewellery. When she stumbled upon an auction being taken by the women at the store, she knew she had found her calling

I always envy those who discovered their talent, passion and that drive at an early age. They've enjoyed the doing the things their hearts are scream of. Like I don't even know what I what to be at my age. Anyway, those are stunning pieces.

mimstar71 I didn't, I graduated from the graduate school and I now work in an art museum. But I wished I had went to a normal University for grad school. Christie's grade school is a for-profit school.

So what to do with me? I love collecting beautiful jewelry. Ironically, it's extremely rare that I should wear any. I've yet to figure it out. I typically wear it the first day I acquire it. After that, I just don't know. It's not that I like it any less. I just don't wear it. Though I do like looking at it time to time.

What a charlatan. On great pieces of jewelry, the back is as 'well finished' as the front, but it is certainly NOT as beautiful.

And its not necessarily even the case with 'quality' at all. Georgian jewelry, for instance, is never finished on the reverse to modern specifications---that certainly doesn'tmake it any less 'good'.
