Glad to hear Amaury loves the ride at LaLande with the wild twists and turns during the B&B season followed by the coasting of the off season when more considered projects are done. I remember when he first arrived and he appeared somewhat startled by the busy season’s day to day urgency. I look forward to his further historic contribution to LaLande with his beloved projects. I hope Amaury carves his name on the back of his work so his name is there for posterity. ❤

It would be fun if they made a grey T shirt with a darker heather grey heart in the center with a signature Cuz or his name from LeLande, his perspiration left of a heart on his Tshirt was simply perfect. It would be a great fund raising idea for a charity of his choice. He is a very good artisan wood worker.

It was great to hear from Kirsty and Omberline. Perhaps if the LaLande workers are willing we could have some interviews with them about their work at LaLande, their future work projects, their personal interests outside of LaLande and areas of particular pride and passion in their work.

Ombeline is far less shy now, and her English has improved. Her and Kirsty both did a very good job. Kirsty has always been well spoken and concise in what she says. Amuerie too shows passion for both the Chateu but his work too. And we cannot forget the Tree Surgeon excising dead wood.

That's such a ridiculous thing to say because all the previous Patreon Days went ahead successfully when the catering was done by other people and the food they produced also looked delicious. In fact, this is the first year that Marie and Julie did the catering.

Natti you looked stunning in that dress! Glad no one ran from the sight of your eye Stephanie LOL I worked in institutions and with kids - eye infections ran rampant. I'm sure where I am in Canada and where you are are on the same weather path. We always have similar weather. Love your aunt and uncle in matching outfits - so cute. Marie you knock the dinner game out of the park, your food looks so yummy! Stephanie you will have to have a special day just for your staff and volunteers - they really do a spectacular job each and every day. They are doing wonders for patron day!

My theory is that it's because it's so idyllic. I'm in the US so am already dreaming of somewhere with like normal healthcare and care for the people who live there, so to have that PLUS a beautiful community of joyful people??? So much life and beauty around? Where it feels like people can be themselves and cultures can mix and people can celebrate being alive??? It's addictive. And what we all deserve!

WOW. So Amaury will do more paneling for the Grand Salon copying the original. Also, the printers and gold leafers from the chapel will come back! The iffy paneling for the staff room will be a challenge, but I am sure Amaury will find a way to make it fantastic. More closeups of the paneling in the Marquis's room please. Plus I forgot the paneling that will go into the Persian room. ❤❤❤❤

Love, love that Scotsman's outfit - Gerald is the Bomb. That tartan plaid says it all! Auntie and Uncle matching outfits - so very sweet - unity and solidarity towards one another. Everyone looks lovely. The food - Marie - you have outdone yourself again. Everyone has their own special place they fill perfectly to help make the Chateau run so smoothly. What impresses me the most is the sheer joy and positive energy that eminates from everyone who is handling their different responsibilities. I think maybe LaLande is a place where people can grow and flourish, along with the chateau itself. That in itself make that place so special. Steph - you have created a paradise that benefits so many people - viewers, visitors, your family, friends and co-creators. How lucky we are to be able to participate.

Red mites- keep a clove of garlic in their watrerer at all times, the water will smell and taste like garlic after a few days (I change it once week to get the benefit of the garlic) but the chickens don’t mind. It keeps the mites away and keeps them healthy. Splash some unfiltered apple cider vinegar in there once/month as well. I use large closed hanging buckets with nipples. Good luck with yout chickens!

All looks so vibrant in the garden. Here in SA we call the physalis "appelliefies" roughly translated little apples of love, or just plain old gooseberries. Makes the best of jams.

Marie does lots of pre-planning in order to have her ducks in a row. Look around the kitchen. She has notes, books, etc. Ingredients have to be there and mise en place’d! The love that shows on her face transcends to the success of the food. 🎉
