Was originally the Swallow Sidecar Company, making sidecars for motorcyles and then branched out into making car bodies. When William Lyons and William Walmsley started producing their own cars the company shortened its name to SS, but after the second world war, because of the associated nazi party horrors, the company name was changed to Jaguar Cars Limited.
