We had the amazing privilege of watching this a few weeks ago while visiting New York. Absolutely loved it, unforgettable! I wish I could watch it over and over. Bravo! So happy to find this clip on You Tube!

Hello. This is wonderful. I am an old professor and I saw the premiere of the movie. In those times the music was recorded with the full orchestra and not separated like nowadays. Is this because they can better use microphones and electronics? Thank you all from Patagonia, Argentina.

This was the first Bartlett Sher production for the Lincoln Center which I thought was largely a dud apart from Rosemary Harris as Mrs Higgins.

She has an Irish accent at the beginning... very nice vocals though

I'm not sure it was Irish. I'm not sure what it was when she was speaking, definitely weird and certainly not English. However her accent when singing was a lot better.

Vocally this is great, but Lauren looks like she doesn't know what to do with herself. She looks like she's in pain rather than emoting and her gestures are wooden and overdramatic like a high school voice student.
