Learn how to truly love nothing but only for the sake of Allah and trust me, nothing will ever upset you or anger you when you know you've made Allah happy. Every time they say something you don't like, reply with a smile and show no other emotion even when your hurt.. It may be tough at the beginning but inshallah you will soften their hearts over time. Be a trooper bro! We all go through it but all it does is make us even better Muslims :).

Mohsin Raza The families still hold to core beliefs though. This one is Pagan (Polytheist) vs Monotheist. The problem with families is Monotheist vs Monotheist. It's the difference between conflict with 2 countries and conflict within a country; civil war. The liability is different so the course of action will be different. Likewise with this situation. There is no lesson by anyone on Muslim parent vs Muslim child. As the rights that parents have over the child are clear, that they cannot disobey the parent unless what they say is against islam. But as long as the parent believes what they have said is not against islam, they will assume they have the right to absolute power over the child. Since there are no speakers on this, many people leave your faith since there is no reconciliation, not even when the children spend more time at home to do chores. It's good advice because it offers a solution, but only one, and it will only work for some if at all.

***** That's exactly my point, this is a Muslim parent Vs Muslim child. It's a different situation, and what I am saying, is that I've never seen a speaker talk about this issue with a good example. I've seen them make examples that are kind of similar like the one on Ibrahim (Abraham) but not Muslim vs Muslim. My issue is simply that if this is such a great problem, why is no one able to provide a good solution. The solution offered here I've known to be ineffective.

***** Relax mate, I don't have a problem with the video except that the example I feel is poor. If you like this Nouman guy like so many, it doesn't bother me. What I'm saying is that I've known the politeness approach to not work. I have a few friends who are muslims, others are 'muslim'. Apparently what Nouman is talking about is a big problem, but I don't see any speakers giving relative examples with their ideas. I'm not interested in getting into a religious debate, that's why I had only brought up 1 point. The fact that the examples on this topic by speakers is poor - hence why it matters (as you asked) because the solution doesn't work.

Lol, poor attitude mate, I was talking about an important issue, something which should concern you whether I ask the question or not. Stop being offended so easily. A lot of muslims have this rubbish idea that non-muslims simply want to argue. If I ask a question about your religion, isn't it a good thing that I took some interest in it? Just because the answer isn't simple doesn't mean I'm trying to 'pinpoint a negative'. If your religion is true then the videos audience is anyone. I here that Allah apparently calls to a muslims heart and his understanding. But too often I see emotionally charged muslims who do not use their common sense. Don't tell me the video was not pointed at me, your speakers would beg to differ.
