I agree with the comment at the start. As a former casual viewer, I loved songs like Moldova 2022 and understood why they ended up so high. Some eurofans just don't seem to get that more of the public may have different views

I've been a eurofan for years but I also loved Moldova 2022. But it's true casual viewers tend to vote somewhat differently. A lot of the fun/crazy/upbeat/ out there songs tend to do really well with the public vote.

Also, your Dad ranking Azerbaijan and Australia so high makes sense, because those are definitely songs dads would like (I like Australia this year personally, not as big on Azerbaijan's song).

I love seeing these lists because I also love sharing my music taste with my family! As far as I know, I've listened and ranked my top 37 (my top 3 being Latvia, Serbia, and Czechia), and my sister listened to the songs yesterday (she mentioned her favorites being Spain, France, and Moldova)

Very cool idea :D of course there are things I like, others that not (Moldova and Serbia criminally low imo) but it was (finally!) an interesting top. I didn't expect the appreciation of the Italian masterpiece, which is very underrated by eurofans, but it's my favourite. Also I love that despite Sweden is first in almost every eurofan's video, neither of your family members had it first, Ik they're only five people from the same country but it kinda supports my hopes of that casual viewers will see it as the good but generic mainstream pop song it is, and not as absolutely amazing just bc it's Sweden and Loreen. And Croatia top 15 when most of the eurofans hate it, that's great too 😅 Btw I love "Bro 2" taste. I'd like to know what my family think of the songs before the show, but no way they're listening to 37 songs xD.

Okay. I did the same with two cousins, my little brother, my dad and his husband and myself. They are not fans of Eurovision whatsoever but they still watch the show if they happen to be at home that night. They are NOT going to spend money to vote, and none of them have ever done so. Here's the top 10: 1. Moldova 🇲🇩 (my family happens to love folk). 2. Spain 🇪🇸 3. Italy 🇮🇹 4. Norway 🇳🇴 5. France 🇫🇷 6. Finland 🇫🇮 7. Australia 🇦🇺 8. Croatia 🇭🇷 9. Armenia 🇦🇲 10. UK 🇬🇧 Rank of other ESC fanbase favourites: 11. Czechia 🇨🇿 12. Sweden 🇸🇪 13. Israel 🇮🇱 17. Austria 🇦🇹 22. Ukraine 🇺🇦. We spent like 3 hours watching videos and performances and really had a good time last night tbh

Amazing job. This is probably the most important list of them all. Also, no matter how ABSOLUTELY WILD the list is, some things stay the same: 1. Sweden and Finland always end up very high up. They seem universally liked. 2. Norway and Austria may well be the black horses this year. They're reliably consistent in finding a lot of fans. This type of a crazy family list is where we can really see how well the "favourites" are really doing.

This is very interesting poll and thank you for sharing it, I will subscribed, I’m a big Eurovisión fan since I was a child as my Spanish parents were too, Im thinking about the casual viewer like my British husband who only watch Eurovisión because I’m a big fan 😂 listen to the songs for the first time on the day and then I making him vote for his favourite, he struggles to keep awake when the boring ballads come up and then he usually votes for the one with big visuals, performances and something modern, silly and unique, a song that stands out from the rest, I have the feeling, knowing him that this year he is going to vote for Austria or Finland, he heard the UK song on the radio and he likes but obviously he cannot vote from here, France and the Netherlands are my favourite, as a Spanish living in the UK I don’t particularly like our entry, I don’t like or understand the Flamenco arte as I’m from North Spain but I can appreciate her stunning voice and her willingness to give it all, wishing Paloma the best

I think Italy will be more divisive than shown here, because I think Southern Europe has more affection for this kind of melodramatic ballad, especially juries. I expect Northern Europe juries to basically go all in on Loreen. And that’s not my favorite btw but it’s a prediction.

As a portuguese who has been seeing portuguese comments about our song, many people say that it sounds spanish, but i personally think it is very portuguese (i really like the song tho, I am not sure abt how its gonna do in the semifinals, but i think it does show a bit of portuguese culture without being obvious)
