Hey Ryan, on the piece of Batman crashing through the window was there ever a thought on making Joker and Harleys face expression in a "shocked" expression? or was the final design what was set from the beginning?

Exactly! unless you have a script in front of you and work off of that, most images, such as pinups, are not planned but are conceptualized as the comics creator feels the image or images come to his/her brain then down to the hand that creates the image. It is the same with me. A good example for me since I work off of a Stan Lee Method story summary (and since I create my own artwork and I am my own Editor), is my DPSes - there are quite a few - within the pages of AGL Presents #1...Check out the DPS of The PHARAOH and his Beholders approach him as he awakens from a very long slumber to learn more...) I start with an overall concept in my head then develop the pages and elements that I think are crucial to the story, as I pencil the panels...often times, I am continuing to add critical or secondary elements that are important to Storytelling even after I have started inking portions of the page(s). So, it is never too late, for me, to add or delete certain elements in a panel. Excellent work, Ryan! AGL

One of my favorite artists as always! One question-- when doing rendering for lighting and shadows on a figure, how much of it is actually "correct" lighting vs. how much is your trained eye doing your own shorthand that still makes sense to the viewer?

Thanks! And most of it is invented. I rarely use reference, but that comes from years of studying from reference and inventing stuff in comics

What is a healthy hours of drawing for beginner? How to grow our love in comics drawing? Great advice, audio inspiration from movies/dramas. Do you think we should record our drawing process, or we just drawing without any video recording? Energy for drawing are very important. What triggered your flow state, how to draw long hours, to keep good energy going? Happy New Year 🎉. What can I do, I don't have a permanent table, I can only have our kitchen table by myself after certain hours late night? Sorry I talk too much 😅.
