There's a market because "influencers" like you create one...hype it up until nobody can afford it and then move on to the next thing. Is your next video gonna be "finding" digicams at Goodwill? Bro go back to shooting your Leica and leave affordable cameras to people who can't actually afford a better camera

My daughter got me into Digicams...she raided an old drawer and started shooting with them! Now I am constantly on eBay looking for old gems! I picked up the Canon Powershot G1 recently...LOVE IT!!! It's my favorite to shoot with at the moment!

Olympus XZ-1 is another really fine digicam. CCD sensor, great 28-112 f1.8-2.5 lens, built-in ND filter, flash, and the ability to put on the VF-2 electronic viewfinder.

I owned the successor to the S95, my wonderful S120. Some of my favourite photos were taken with that camera, that rarely left my side. Blew out the flash at a party once, but it soldiered on, only to be brought down by a hunk of dust on the sensor. Absolute gem of a camera that I miss.

I have the Canon Power Shot SD1000! I bought it brand new in 2007 and LOVED it! It took great photos ans videos for its time. I still have it, and should really fire it up to see if it's still working the same and if the battery/batteries still hold a charge!

Love my digicam❤ always have my canon power shot s90 with me set it on p mode and light balance to cloudy as well vivid mode or custome mode .. awesome vid 👑 king

I bought and still own the Lumix LX100 and the Olympus XZ-1. Beautiful colors. The Lumix can be used completely manual as well.

Awesome! I had the sd1000. It developed dust on the sensor and I ruined it trying to clean it myself. Then I paid full price for the s95 when it came out and it continues to work great! It's a fantastic camera. I checked what they were going for on eBay a couple years ago and they were going for around 50 dollars now they are around 200.

i rekindled my love for digicams after lightrooms new denoiser ai. older ccd sensors got very noisy in night, low light scenarios, to the point where the end result was nearly unusable. the ai denoiser in lightroom really ups the quality, without blurring like old denoise techniques used. its almost like it replaces the noise with a film like grain. it only works with raw photos, and luckily with chdk firmware, most canon point and shoots can shoot raw!

my current fave digicams are the sony cybershot dsc t200 and the canon ixus 160 i do also use my nikon coolpix L120 which is also a ccd camera from the late 2000s and its great as well and my current daily

I just snagged a Canon A720 IS for a good price on eBay. It's a sibling to the A650 IS which I also hope to get one day (and a Canon G12...though the aforementioned two are closer to the G9). Looking forward to getting some shots with it! It's all about a CCD sensor and really adds a film look and a nice shot of nostalgia.

for the price of the 620HS you can get a canon g10 or really any g series canon and save $100 or more for almost the same quality... just picked one up untested for 40$ and the pictures are very nice

digi cams or what other ppl call digital cameras are fun to use. Some of them come in different colors and you can easily put them in your pocket.

Fuji x10, x20 and Canon g10-15 are the greate option, if you want good picture and body quality plus retro design

Canon Elph (ixy in japan, ixus in Europe) started off as the ultracompact line and the SD designated cameras that took SD cards. IS and HS suffix meant image stabilization and high sensitivity. They did away with the SD down the line but still used sd cards. Canon S is the prosumer level which includes SX superzooms as well. Caveat is the SXs all have smaller sensors + small aperture on account of the zoom so are all bad in low light. They do have more manual control compared to the elph line. Canon S 90/95/100/120 were very similar in quality to the G11/12/15/16 but the latter tended to have faster lenses though large bodies. I have heard that Panasonic LX3/5/7 blew all of these out of the water

Got a canon s95 that I absolutely love. I'm wondering if to achieve more wild looking photos associated with the trend, if I'd be better off getting an older camera with less megapixels? Or could I just mess around with the in camera color settings?

I found the Canon SX620 HS to be awful in lower light settings (indoors or on overcast days) and the image comes out with lots of grain. Have you noticed that too or do you have any tips on how to improve that?

Its not really just the digicams people are looking for. Its actually the CCD sensors also. Very unique rendering of color similiar to film.

I was searching for a CCD sensor camera (size didn’t matter tbh), so I came across the Nikon D200 (I bought one) and i know it’s a fossil since it’s 18 years old but I fell in love with digital photography because I was mainly shooting film before. So yeah that was a good decision lol

The digicam trend is weird. It’s like film nostalgia but more functional. I realized with time I enjoyed carrying my digicam more than my full frames. I ended up using vintage canons. Then bought a RX100M5, then sold my full frames. Now I wanna buy the instax mini evo. I guess the imperfections make them more fun to use. I guess they force the person to get artsy and creative with their photography again… modern day cameras take perfect and clean shots easily every time. They all look the same. The images don’t have a vibe or feel to them. I just wonder how the camera industry is taking this.

It's not the imperfections, it's the fact that CCD sensors resemble a filmic look. A lot of that was by design from the manufacturers back in the early days of digital to try and entice film shooters to go digital. Either way they just have a vibe you cant get with modern, mirrorless CMOS sensors and lenses. Way too sharp and sterile.

My best advice is to look at all the digicams that KZfaqrs aren't talkin about the good thing about digicams is that since so many were made you can still find them at low prices even on eBay

It is alot of hype but I must say the CCD sensors do give a unique and appealing look. I have a nikon D200 which is no where near small enough to be a digicam but the CCD sensor it has combined with vintage glass is wonderful.

There will definitely be a market for them still. People love small and simple. I've owned many through the years, but my Canon G7xii is one I will probably keep for a long time.
