My Favorite Game: Jim Harbaugh FINALLY beats the Buckeyes, Urban Meyer | 2021 Ohio State at Michigan

The Michigan Wolverines are enjoying being the national champions this offseason, but we could really see the building blocks of this championship team in 2021. After losing the in his first 5 tries against the Buckeyes, patience with Jim Harbaugh was waning in Ann Arbor. In 2021, however, Harbaugh shut the naysayers up by knocking off the Ohio State Buckeyes in dramatic fashion. Chris Balas from the Wolverine joins to recap the monumental victory.

To the inevitable Ohio zealots who spend their days obsessing about Michigan on Michigan channels: In 2021 Michigan didn't have Connor Stalions. In 2022 your own coaches say they changed their signs for the Michigan game so Stalions was irrelevant. In 2023 Stalions was gone and you played Michigan MONTHS after signgate broke. Just man-up and cope already.

I'm a 40 year season ticket holder and two time grad of Michigan. I was at this game and agree with Chris it was my favorite game of all time! It was snowing and a nasty day and the crowd was really into the game. Hassan Haskins had a great day and Aidan Hutchinson imposed his will on Ohio. It was the first time I saw C.J. Stroud in person and I thought WOW he's a great QB! At the end of the game it was cold and windy but everyone was soooooo excited!

My 12 year old son and I was at this game. All I kept telling him was with the snow falling it felt like a 90’s game. Greatest game I have ever been to.

Sign stealing doesn't account for Michigan's dominance at the line of scrimmage. Michigan would've won this game with or without Connor Stallions. Although Buckeyes would never admit it 😂

The Don’s two 70 yard TD runs in Columbus were telegraphed plays and UM just pried open OSU’s defense in those plays and The Don just did his thing. As for making key stops against CJ … maybe but Michigan’s defense just made great plays imho.

Great recap of an amazing day and official turn of the rivalry. An underrated moment in the game not covered here was Josh Ross TFL on 3rd and short that forced a 3 and out and set the tone for the second half.

My favorite game ever me my brother and a few good friends that I sat and watched all the bad years of Michigan football with where cheering so loud I’m surprised the neighbors didn’t call the police 😂

I set up a tv in my garage to get away from everyone in the house. I told my lady i will definitely cry if my Michigan finally beats ohio. She came in right at the end and caught me crying. She said you really are crying? I told her this really means a lot to me. I love sports but i am not a fan of the nfl don't have time to watch baseball or hockey much anymore. Michigan is the only team I care about! Go blue!

I have been watching Michigan football for 40 years. My favorite game is a game I did not see. (I had to take my little ones to a birthday party. It was the '21 game on the road vs PSU. Harbaugh was not beating good teams on the road. They had lost to MSU on the road, even though they should have won. They had beaten Wiscy on the road earlier, but no one really knew how good Wiscy was. Anyway, UM started off beating PSU, Cade played the entire game. You did not see lot of Blake Corum. Haskins was having a good game. UM had the lead, and gave it away with a strip/sack/fumble of McNamara. The pass to Erick All, where All rockets up the sideline (his first TD at Michigan in his three years) gives UM the lead back with 3 minutes or so left. It was the first time I had the believe they had the grit to come back and win a game, that they probably should have lost...

This is one of those games that was so epic, you remember exactly where you were and what you were doing when you watched it. Every detail of the setting is burned in. Mine was kind of odd, I was at Cici's pizza in Houston, eating with the family, when I asked them to change the channel so I could watch the game. I remember thinking how crazy it is they are playing in the snow and here I am in the hot weather, so connected to this game, the only person in the building who cares about this game. Not even caring about that when I screamed loud enough to stop all 40 patrons conversations every time Michigan did the impossible

I was at this game, it was cold AF. The best part was the look on the buckeyes fans faces before and then after the game was comedy. The couldn't believe Michigan smashed them the way they did. It was amazing. That's the day all the excuses started. "It was snowing" blah blah blah. Rookie of the year qb and 3 pro receivers No excuses😂😅

Not at the level of on field cheating. Years past that would invoke the death penalty. So you hang your hat on that?

They did cheat by letting the domestic violences slide with meyers era. It’s all the truth we need to let it go and so does Ohio state. Unless they’re ready to get it right back to them with the urban era being scandalous.

ABSOLUTELY 2011 counts! Yes that game COULD have been a loss sure. But it wasn’t. Several of Jim Tressel’s games could have been won by Michigan. Don’t forget that Tressel was a huge cheater and he eventually was run off for it. Piss on Ohio State.

I remember 1 vs 2 in 2006 i was in elementary school and we had a can drive Michigan vs ohio state and there was 1 michigan fan in our whole school 😂 and the last day his dad brought half a truck load to beat ohio state. Time goes by so fast. Still feels weird we lost to Michigan 3 times!

Confused about the title, Michigan never beat an Urban Meyer team, Urban was 7-0 vs Michigan and Harbaugh was 0-5 vs Meyer.

Well if you want to count cheating wouldn’t that make Harbaugh 0-7 vs 2-5 against OSU? Funny thing is my comment was only about the title. Those are facts, Urban was 7-0 vs Michigan and Harbaugh is 2-5 vs Osu.

Bullshit. Stallions wasn't on staff in 2021. F 🅾️$U had 4 NFL 1st rounders just on offense on that 2021 team. Michigan had 1. Michigan kicked the ever living shit out of that soft ass front seven.
