I did that with my cat, too.. it`s kind of a strange habit when you have a cat, because most of the time it is very interested in your food and it can get annoying..a simple method to stop this is to let the cat sniff on things it does NOT like to eat..haha

actually there are very similar grills under stoves in the US. since is also a full size ovens under the stove. the top heating unit is the broiler which is essentially what's in this video, an upside down grill. you can tell this as there is pan to hold liquid just as a broiling pan.

Between US and Japan "broiler", I think Japan is more efficient. And, it is easier to clean rather than bending down on the floor like the US stove.

You don't bend over to clean it. You pull the broiler tray out and clean it in the sink just like Jun pulled his tray out. The only real difference besides the placement is the size. The American broiler tray is almost twice the size of Jun's tray.

Point taken. Jun's tray didn't required bending over and as you pointed out smaller. Just like the George Foreman grill, I can understand taking it to the sink. But, the huge size of the broiler in oven proven to be why most Americans, such as myself, don't use it. It is heavy and large size for cleaning. Cleaning it is a bigger pain compared to cleaning the George Foreman grill.

It's hard to find and a little pricy to install but it's worth it if you live in a area with alot of fish (I only like salmon lol). It's worth is if you like to eat alot of fish. You could cook other meats but you'll have to clean it better and make sure the meat isn't too thick

i think Kohaku is just a well behaved cat. i had 5 cats in 19 years and we never trained our cats but some would eat dirt from the floor and the others wouldnt even look at that. some would jump on the table to eat and some would rather jsut sit there and watch us eat. Cats have personalities like human and Kohaku seems to be a really behaved cat :D

コハク！待ってましたぁ＼(^-^)／こんなにお利口に待ってるなんていい猫ですね。のどぐろはクエにも負けない美味しさがありますね。塩焼きにしたのどぐろをダシで炊いたもち米の上にのせて食べるのが大好きです。のどぐろの脂がもち米とめちゃくちゃ合いますよ。喉が黒いことや、能登でとれることなど名前の由来は諸説ありますが、旨いのは確かですね(笑)
