I got this 940 Osborne for my step dad! He broke so many buck 110s and just goes through them like crazy, his every day carry was a well used Smith and Wesson pocket knife he got for free with a gun purchase, broken lock good blade though. He absolutely loves [the 940] and said it's the best knife he ever owned. I bought myself the mini bugout, because that's a very good knife for what I use pocket knifes for, gutting trout, cutting straps, and people don't freak out seeing it when I'm getting loaded or unloaded. Plus I always have my tool bag in the semi so yeah I use the blade as you would expect during gentle blue collar tasks and I'll always have the correct tool for the job just a few feet away. I have several other fixed blades that I'll take out camping or hunting but those blades have specific tasks. Like my benchmade saddle mountain with the s90v blade I use that for skinning and for nothing else. That's my mentality.

Cool video. Really like the accent. Never heard this one before. I can teach you my style of sharpening if you’d like. I use the dc4 because of its portability to maintain a razors edge. I’m a single knife user. I sharpen once a week lightly and once a month heavily if needed. I also strop as needed. I’m gonna check out some more of the channel. Enjoyed it.

Oh I agree with you granite I’m not a farmer I’m an electrician but the knife still is a good worker. I’ve used it to build four sheds it was everything it was my mini prybar whatever I needed

Good review. I'm a working man so I like to hear what other guys like that work w they hands. Don't care about the mall ninjas or the office bushcrafters opinion. Anyway I really recommend you work on sharpening. Whether it's a stone or work sharp or kme, getting great at sharpening is like getting every knife you own brand new again

I’ve got a few Benchmade’s, Spyderco’s and Cold Steel’s. The 940 is a good knife. I’m pretty damn good at sharpening and I also live here in Virginia. Hit me up, I’d sharpen it up sharper than the factory for sure!

I found out hard way about the ability of a folder, you need to let the knife get good and dirty,and if it still opens and closes and stays locked when it's filthy and not any danger of the knife closing on you when your working the knife hard,that's a great knife!

I’ve never cut anything with mine $300 bucks here 🇨🇦 . Joking beside I just wanted a good carry knife...it’s carry’s like a champ and feels so good in the hand. The green aluminum is my fave at 2.9 ounce...perfect!......but it’s expensive.

That’s my favorite knife too! I carry a Leatherman Charge as my backup. 940 isn’t the best slicer, my Charge fills that roll. For fibrous material a serrated knife is good to protect my 940’s edge.

Good knife is always a great thing to have. Be safe brother. I have what I guess we call the white-collar job, I keep a switchblade in my back pocket at work for when I’m in the field but carry in office too. . Recently had a meeting and someone was trying to open the box. I popped the knife open and when I put it away everyone was staring.. Shocking I didn’t get written up for that.

Bro, that's not a deep carry clip, thats a standard carry clip. My 940 on my channel is rocking the standard deep carry pocket clip. Oh hey don't forget you can send it to benchmade for their lifesharp service and warranty.

I also have trouble getting a good edge on my knives. I bought a Lansky kit and I can get a razor edge on my knives.

Hey soI been thinking about getting this knife that $240 price tag is steep tho however I know benchmade is super high quality and I’ve heard nothing but good things about the 940 I currently carry a buck 110 and I’m very happy with it but I’m Looking for something else and this would be my first benchmade my other concern is I have large hands so do u think this will fit my hand comfortably also how does it cut ? I’m a working man myself and I don’t need something razor sharp but I need something that cut decently

Don't like bench made because of the price,otherwise it's well made.
