Amor Fati from Germany is a great distro too, especially for atmospheric BM, and they update almost daily. They also release all the music from the bands in the Prava Kollektiv, some really awesome material. Arkhtinn is a standout favorite.

From an Australian perspective EVERYTHING is international, so it's a game of who has the most reasonable shipping cost to speed ratio. That usually comes with shops that use DHL or FedEx, who can be much cheaper and also faster than USPS/national mail services. Seaon of Mist (europe version) is priced well. Dark Descent is another on Fedex who can ship CDs to Australia, fully tracked, for just a few bucks. Hell's Headbangers get really good DHL rates. Worth noting with Osmose, a couple of times a year they do (or have done) a Free international shipping sale for a week or so - really takes the sting out of it. If you ARE in Australia, distros of note are: Seance Records (who officially rep NWN, Dark Adversary and Iron Bonehead here), Overuse (who rep ASRAR among others), Sphere of Apparition (who get Nuclear Winter and others), plus Total War Records (who rep Blood Harvest, Invictus, Dark Descent and more). Unfortunately at the moment I have to avoid German shops that only use German post (Amor Fati, Darker than black, Vendetta etc) as shipping now takes 10-14 weeks and everything arrives warped due to the German postal system deciding to send by air as far as the UAE, then boat the rest of the way.

As a South American, buying from foreign labels is a pain in the ass. Season of Mist and Eisenwald for example have an amazing rooster but their shipping prices are stupidly expensive. Profound Lore, Transcending Obscurity and Vendetta are some of my personal favourites because of the shipping being pretty cheap for South American countries. Btw, I remember watching a video you made on The Flenser. Maybe analyzing labels on their own could be a good topic!

I need to watch that video, big fan of most of those bands. some of my favorite non-metal stuff so good to have a label that almost seems geared towards metal heads into non metal music, which is far from a specific genre but somehow everyone from Hexvessel, Emma Ruth Rundle, and the labels main band as they are the ones running it, Have a Nice Life. My musical tastes are 3/4th black metal and the rest shit like that.

Tour De Garde also has an excellent Discogs shop where he sells a lot more genre's than what is on his normal shop. Here are some I purchase from which are all Canadian. Tour De Garde of course. CDN Records - An excellent place for Death Metal Brutal Death Slam and represses of hard to find early demo's and EP Compilations. Vault of Dried Bones - He took and extended break from selling records tapes and cd's but is back at it and also Presses T-shirts for various Death and Black Metal bands in limited runs. Profound Lore Records is always putting out excellent records. Sepulchral Productions - Mostly deals in Black Metal and does the Messe De Morts Festival in Montreal every year. Been There, Scene That - A small operation that does represses of hard to find Deathcore and Hardcore from the 90's and 00's. Most of the stuff I get outside of Canada is from Bandcamp or Discogs Sometimes from Gore House Records, Brutal Mind or New Standard Elite. Sometimes I'll order from Hell's Headbangers but the shipping to Canada can be a pisser at times because of Border Customs.

international shipping is a huge pain in the ass. i had to stop ordering shit from the us almost entirely due to the shipping costs of packages sent out from the us to eastern europe because it was absolutely insane. i've had instances in which i would be paying more for shipping than for the actual products (not counting the post office taxing me for ordering a package from outside the eu). what makes it even weirder to me is that a package from the us to my country is like 10-15 dollars or so, but a package mailed out from my country to the us can at times go for like 4 dollars... it's wild to me. i really just wish shipping wasn't so dan expensive cuz now i gotta resort to scouring for labels in europe that distro us products or pass up on getting the stuff i wanted

While physical media is not something I care to use anymore. I don't even have a disk drive for my PC anymore. Just having it is nice, especially vinyl. Some of the designs on them are crazy. Slowly, but surely, I'm building a vinyl collection. More of a Power Metal fan, so I found AFM Records, and Nuclear Blast/Atomic Fire records are good places to start. The Artisan Era is one I'm quickly falling in love. Tons of Extreme Metal, with amazing Album Art, and breathtaking, vibrant vinyl designs.

Hells Headbangers is excellent for me despite living in the UK, as shipping for a few CDs is about 7 USD, often cheaper than getting it from Europe since they use DHL shipping. I won't be buying vinyl from abroad anytime soon, as it's simply too much hassle making sure the shipping is reasonable and the item doesn't come damaged. I also laughed my ass off when you brought up Tesco, you'd never be able to have a label with that name here since Tesco is so big and well known.

Hells Headbangers is great for MANY things, but 3 stick out to me about their label: 1. They are GREAT at repressing out-of-print music, especially those that were never on LP. Albums that used to only be on Cd will now be on vinyl in color, black, and picture discs 2. They have a lot of great underground releases that they put out on their own label. They have a distro of both music from their label and music from other labels 3. One of their owners is on youtube, and before that he was on his brother's podcast (Hellcast) and constantly gives out awesome recommendations. That helped me a lot with new releases and represses I was not going to be as aware of without their discussions.
