I watched this movie in a Japanese theater in Shibuya when it came out and not a single person laughed once. It made me wonder if Japanese people either legitimately don't find it funny or if they restrain their laughter cause they don't want to make noise in the theater

@@TayoEXE it's not considered rude to laugh during a comedy it's just considered rude to be obnoxious about it. Really it's cause the movie itself isn't that funny. Japanese people laugh out loud all the time and have a great sense of humor. Part of it is that they want to be respectful to other viewers but that doesn't mean they're robots or a hivemind or anything like that.

For some reason this video has over a thousand views and so I'm just going to say PLEASE WATCH THE ACE ATTORNEY MOVIE. It's not ironically great, its definitely not so bad its good and it's not only worth watching only the "good parts". The Ace Attorney movie is actually great and you should watch it (preferably with a friend who is also a Ace Attorney fan). Anyway have a good day!!!!!!

and Miles' snaps?? aside from the fact that him making stuff appear by snapping is really badass, it also could be a reference to mvk's snaps in the game, which... young Edgeworth's mannerisms being similar to mvk's has always been such a small but really emotional part that i really loved in the flashback case, as a symbol of how mvk was molding Miles to become like him instead of Gregory, so i love how they included that in the movie, whether on purpose or not. but i mostly love how cool it looks

I think what’s so fucked up is that the director of this movie, Takashi Miike, also directed the movies Audition and Ichi The Killer which are EXTREMELY freaky and unsettling. He’s like, really well known for super graphic and violent shit in his flicks. And he also did the live action Ace Attorney movie.

there was also a scene when Phoenix just. randomly started screeching like that. without any reason. which apparently was his way of saying "no please your honor don't declare the verdict yet" but it just came out as a loud AEEIAAEIAGH
