People constantly ask me, "What is your favorite movie?" I really don't like picking a favorite, but I make a list of a bunch of favorites. That's what we're doing today. These are my picks for my favorite movie from every year I've been alive!
From 1981 to 2019, you'll know 38 of my favorites....ok my options for 2019 may have been limited given it's January.
These aren't the best movies.
These aren't my awards picks.
These are favorite films.
These are the movie which meant the most to me. So some are going to be kind of odd picks.
This was tricky. Some years had an obvious favorite movie, but other years had multiple movies I absolutely love. And then some years were pretty meh for me.

Thanks so much! When I started doing them, that's sort of what I was going for. I always enjoyed seeing other peoples lists, but most of the outlets had generic ones that felt compiled by committee. So I wanted to create content that was jam packed with personality and depending on the video, stories.

@Kellbag I like westerns. I grew up on westerns on TV and in theaters. My favorite tv westerns are Big Valley, Laramie, Gunsmoke, & The Virginian. My favorite movie westerns are Rio Bravo(1959), Butch Cassidy And The Sundance Kid(1969), The Searchers(1956), The Outlaw Josey Wales(1976), Unforgiven(1992), High Plains Drifter(1973), The Cowboys(1972 the only movie where John Wayne dies halfway through the movie), & 3:10 To Yuma(2007).

Man, I just want to thank you.. Growing up, especially in school, I was teased and bullied for talking about movies so much. It was my language! It made it even worse that my mother worked at a movie theater for 13 years, so free tix and concessions were a lifestyle. I remember George Clooney or someone else on Graham Norton saying movie and comic fans get crapped on more purely because they care, and it’s become common nature to be indifferent on everything and be dull and bored, the world lost its excitement somewhere but there are people below that very shallow and fake blanket which are human.

In my Top 20 movies of all time, some of the films I have are Ben-Hur, Lawrence of Arabia, Sound of Music, Singin in the Rain, Seven Samurai, Ip Man, Goodfellas, and The Hateful Eight (underrated). So, no, I don’t just watch big budget popular films.

So many young people on these comments. I'm going to make my own list but since I was born in 1966 it will take a bit longer. I can say one of my all time favorite "at the theater moments" was at the theater showing 'Jurassic Park'. The guy selling tickets told the parent's of a large group of kids about 10ish years old the film might be scary for them. The parent's laughed it off and let the kids go alone anyhow. I saw all of them seating towards the front in the middle seats. When the T Rex attacks the jeeps you could see ALL THE KIDS running to the aisles screaming at the top of their lungs! I couldn't help laughing my ass off during the rest of the movie just thinking about that. It still makes me smile to this day! 🤣

Understandable,I'm aware that it butchered the source material.But I enjoy the movie as it is.There are loads more awesome movies in 2005.I guess I'm just being a little nostalgic as it was honestly the first Harry Potter movie I watched in the theatre.

Not a very special or thought out list but thought I'd share: 2005 - Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith 2006 - Pirates of the Carribean: Dead Man's Chest 2007 - Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix 2008 - Iron Man (I know I'd have chosen the Dark Knight had I ever watched more than 5 minutes of it) 2009 - Inglorious Basterds (Wasn't really sure but quite a Tarantino fan) 2010 - Despicable Me? (Nowadays it's just a nice movie for me to watch but I couldn't think of many interesting ones) 2011 - Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2 2012 - The Avengers (Probably the first action movie I ever watched, lots of great movies came out this year) 2013 - Hunger Games: Catching Fire 2014 - Captain America: The Winter Soldier 2015 - Jurassic World 2016 - Deadpool 2017 - -Star Wars Episode NO- Thor: Ragnarok?
