When you work with yachts you love options that make your life easier . Volvo Penta's DPS System for IPS equipped boats isat the top of my list for options that I want on a new yacht!

Tiaras with virtual Anchoring, being able to walk side ways, forward, backward and come about in its own length has revolutionized boating. It makes single handed boating not only possible but fun! Push the button, get things ready for docking and walk side ways right up to the dock!

zzzx xzzz it's really amazing! I've use it to pull up behind a boat at the dock all the time. You see your buddy sitting on his boat......pull up swim platform to swim platform about 8' away and hit the button. I've hung out for 20 plus minutes like this catching up with friends . It's rock solid and never moves.

I have a 32’ with Merc engines and Axius Premier. Axius Premier has virtual anchor ability - ¡works perfectly! A great investment.

I'm interested in DPS for my 2010 Beneteau Monte Carlo 47 (technically 54LOA with hydraulic platform) I have Volvo IPS 600 with joystick. Is it easy to integrate? You mentioned cost had come down, but can you offer a ballpark figure for the system and installation? Also, I'm considering an Itellian HD Antenna to receive DirecTV... should I be concerned about antenna placement for either the DPS and/or Intellian? Can they interfere with one another??

today I got bow wind and strong current , I play really ugly since the boat totally lost control. DPS is my next must have.

Is it okay to leave the boat with DPS and go to shore in a tender? Or is the system not reliable enough?

My DPS system on my new Absolute 50Fly has had and still has issues. It will hold for a few minutes and start swinging the bow around and go crazy!!! It will tell me that it has lost it's heading while it is swinging us around, even sometimes facing the opposite direction!! My Volvo tech has been out a few times and everyone is scratching their heads about the malfunction!

bigboatben it took months and countless hours to final figure it out. It came down to our flybridge hard top had enough vibration that it messed up our DPS antenna. While our boat is out of the water for the winter they are going to relocate the antenna off of the hard top. I was told that we are the only new Absolute 50 fly in the US that added the Volvo DPS system as a factory option.
