Fantastic fantastic fantastic!!! So many wonderful choices. Agree… Lonesome Dove is awesome… I just read True Grit for June on the Range and loved that too. Recommend. The Count of MC is on my list to re-read as it’s a favorite. I’m itching to re-read the Scarlet Letter, Jane Eyre, Pride and Prejudice among others. I put Greenwood on my list to watch for! East of Eden, Ahab’s Wife are already sitting on my shelf to be read… MUST DO! So glad you’re settled and getting back to us. We missed you tons and love hearing your voice (even if it’s froggy!) ❤

Terrific video! I seldom reread, but I'm now rereading The LOT R trilogy (again). My altimeter favorites! Lonesome Dove is my next favorite. Maybe Hamlet is next. Now I'm thinking about Garp. Hmmm? A more obscure choice that I might reread again is The Sojourner by Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings. It's from 1953, but I loved it.

Great topic. It seems less people reread books currently than in the past? I used to be a big rereader, in fact I hardly bought new books but rather reread the ones I already had and loved. In the past few years i've picked the habit up again but only one book a year. This year I'm rereading "Bird by Bird" by Anne Lamont. I don't read it to learn to write; I just read it because I like her humor and how she writes.

Thanks for this video. I think you did one once already, as I seem to remember most of these titles. I don’t reread much because of the reason you gave, fear of not loving it as much as I did the first time. Some times I am not aware of rereading. I read Where did you go Bernadette twice. The second time I didn’t even remember I already read it and nothing sounded familiar while rereading 🤦🏽‍♀️ That did scare me a bit at the time. Lovely book though. I reread The Lord of the rings several times. And I reread the Outlander series. But since it has become such a hype the pull is less. I do want to reread Wuthering Heights now I am older. I’ll probably listen to it. I seem to not have the patience for rereads, which I regret.

I have never been a rereader but you make an convincing case to maybe give a few books I loved a reread. Like you I am afraid I won't love it as much. I was excited to see that I had picked up Idaho at a library sale. This gives birth to my first post retirement challenge! Read Kim's Favorite rereads for the first time. The only books I do not have is Greenwood and The World According to Garp which I think will be easy enough to find at a library sale. You exude contentment and excitement😊! I have reread all my life. Emil of Lönneberga by Astrid Lindgren and The little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéri were my childhood favourites. I started rereading methodically two years ago, setting a goal of twelve books a year. Additionally I chose December as a rereading-month, where I either catch up or reread more. 5 Favourite books that I have read more than twice: •One Hundred Years of Solitude •The Waves •Burial Rites by Hannah Kent •A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini •Caribou Island by David Vann 3 books that I reread and loved this year: • An Unnecessary Woman by Rabih Alameddine • A chain of Voices by André Brink • The Weird Sisters by Eleanor Brown I noticed that if I connect emotionally to a book, no matter how flawed it is, I want to reread it. Mostly the reread is 'successful'. I am currently reading and loving Middlemarch (in publication order). After that, probably starting October, I plan on reading Lonesome Dove over a period of three months. You are right, I haven't yet come across a booktuber that dislikes the book😁!

I am not a big rereader since I would usually prefer spending my time exploring new books, so I typically reread maybe one or two books a year. This year I am way outside my norm. I have reread five books so far and am currently reading two others. I plan on at least two others as well. I doubt this will become a trend for me, but I am enjoying it this year.
