SO glad you posted this! Glad you enjoy it, but man. For those of us in Arkansas, Missouri, Tennessee ....anywhere near Silver Dollar City or Dollywood ....This is our theme park experience all the time .That exact style of entertainment, that exact food. Been there done that 100 times so glad to know I can skip it! But again, glad you enjoy it!

If you ever want to try it, there is upstairs seating and you can tell your server you don't want to interact. I've been and didn't like the show but, if you think you'd like it and just don't want the stress, you can sit upstairs (and I think it costs less to be seated there, too).

This type of place looks like my absolute worst nightmare to participate in, so I'll probably continue avoiding it personally. But, it's certainly fun to watch through the safety of a screen! Thank you for providing a look at this show for us easily overstimulated folks 😅

We are a long time Hoop De Doo Loving family! In late July all 16 of our Johnson Clan went and had the best time! It’s corny but we love it and even know some of the jokes! Through many years my daughter was asked to be a can-can dancer (I later asked why she didn’t kick high as she’d been taking dance lessons since she was 3! “I had sandals on and didn’t want to kick someone’s teeth out if my shoe went flying!!” My youngest son was the Native American, and my husband was a toot guy, like your Dad! Thanks for letting me relive it again!!!((HHUUGGSS)) Debbie

For sentimental reasons, Hoop Dee Doo Review is my favorite dining experience on property. I prefer the balcony seating. It’s quite a trek to the site, but I enjoy it. I agree, I find the later show to be less rushed and more enjoyable experience, too.

This is 100% fact! How anyone can come to Disney World and NOT go to a dinner show at the Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue is beyond me? We do it as our first meal for all of our extended stays at Walt Disney World. Tip, take the monorail over to MK and then the boat over to Fort Wilderness...easy peasy! Great video!

This is one of the Disney places that people either absolutely love or absolutely hate. I'm with your brother - to me, it's like fingernails on a chalkboard. I do enjoy seeing positive reviews of the show, because I respect the history of how long the show has run, but it is not my thing.

I miss the old Hoop Dee Do where they'd take the buckets of food and slam them on the table. That was the best and so fun!

"changing the menu's?" does that mean they're going to swap out all the good food for some new crap, like they've done at so many other restaurants on property?

Nope, they are just getting new physical menus. Not changing the food (at least they didn’t tell me the food was changing)
