Had the pleasure of Seeing John Fogerty 20 something times in the last 25 years. Took My son to see Him when He was 6 years old. We had fifth row seats and my Son had on a Boston RED SOX jersey and John tipped his hat to My Son. He was so excited he started crying his eyes out because John Fogerty said Hi To him. My son is 33 now and he remembers it like it was yesterday. Gos Bless John Fogerty. One Last thing , Thanks Julie. 🙏

Hi, I'm Karen. (I know the name sucks)😂 I have a question for you since you seem to be a huge Fogarty fan. Way back when I was in my early 20's I married a man about 9 yrs older than me. He was Fogarty's biggest fan. He looked like him and played a 12 string guitar, and when he sang, he sounded just like him! He is the reason I love John Fogarty! Now, this was back in the late 80's or early 90's. He explained the story of him not playing CCR music ever again, just Fogarty music. I was young and found myself in a new crowd of friends that did A LOT of drugs and drinking. So I was in a fog a lot. So, I can remember going to a concert close enough to long Island cuz we got there after a few hours of driving. This concert had a bunch of artists playing there, including John Fogarty! When it was time for Fogarty to play, we were holding our breath to see if he'd play any CCR music since he hadn't played any for many years. Well, he started with a Fogarty tune, then 30 seconds in, he stopped and then played CCR music!!!! We went crazy jumping up and down, but it was weird cuz since there were so many other artists playing there, it was like Noone else realized just what happened? He saw us going crazy and pointed to us! It was great. My question is, since I was "in a fog" I don't remember where this concert was or what it was called since it wasn't just Fogarty playing??? DO you know anything about it??? Thanks, sorry you had to read a book today 😂
@smittyinwootown564013 күн бұрын
@@karenwalsh1143 he didn’t play CCR Tunes for a while because he didn’t own the rights to them until fairly recently. The record companies made the money. It’s well documented. If you look on KZfaq you can find plenty of information on that subject. As far as that concert you were at I don’t know. It could have been anywhere. Try googling John Fogerty set lists from that time , you mite have some luck. Lastly, He’s still touring. I’m going to see him for like the 20th time in Gilford NH. I’m so Psyched. Good luck and God Bless Ya. 🙏

Wrote a song for everyone and Someday never comes..... in my opinion the 2 best songs he ever wrote
@smittyinwootown56403 ай бұрын
100% agreed. In all the times I’ve seen John Fogerty , he’s never played someday never comes and He played Wrote a Song for Everyone only once. He played it Solo with an electric acoustic and a headset microphone. This was rite around the time Blue moon Swamp was out. In My opinion, I don’t think He plays Someday Never Comes because it reminds Him of not so good times from His Childhood. Again , that’s My opinion. Gos Bless John Fogerty. one last thing. Thanks Julie. 🙏

I just finished re-reading Mr. Fogerty's Autobiography 'Fortunate Son' Which I bought several years ago. The reason for the re-read is that I'm going thru a pretty rough period in my life BUT, no matter how rough it CANNOT possibly Compare to what he went thru with Saul Zantz and Fantasy Records...O-M-G!! It is unbelievable that someone who brought so Much Joy to the World thru his Awesome Music could go thru Hell for so long (1970-2005?) Wow, INCREDIBLE...

trippleslots , A comeback? He NEVER quit touring as far as I know......he is currently playing with 2 of his sons on guitar! 😀 And both are very exceptional! But with John Fogerty as a personal teacher , who wouldn't be? I saw him in concert 6 yrs ago in Dawson Creek , British Columbia ; Canada and he actually sounds just as good , if not better today then in his youth!! And he definitely looks more handsome today , then when he was young! Everything about him has aged sooooo good!! 💖💖
