Hey! Thanks so much for the video, soo helpful. Would you mind advising if I can buy the same frame and use the Ikea Lagkapten desk top? I have the 180 cm(I think that’s the longest size of it) and really want to get the dual motor MotionGrey frame as I have 2 monitors and 2 laptops (1 for school and 1 for work) needing to be supported. I also have 2 Ikea Alex drawers under the Lagkapten desk top for support that I would also be using :) Any advice would be appreciated! Thank you

good idea with the drawer. do you have to worry about lowering it too much? I guess you made the preset once and use it right?

1 year update: Desk is still working exceptionally well. I have had no issues with the motors, any wiring or the control unit! The only problem is I have scuff marks on my wall from the wires on my monitor rubbing against the wall during transitions, but that's my own fault!

i bought this desk about a year ago (yo ucan see my comment below) I find it gets wobbly (horizontal) after several cycles. apart from this, no issues. for reference, The standing desks in my office are flawless

I just discovered this Canadian company. I’ll be ordering the desk frame in the next day and most likely getting a top from ikea. I’m not a fan of the grommet hole MotionGrey put in their own tops.

There are screw holes but I just put the table top on the legs without using screws, havnt had any issues.

How much import tax did you pay? Because they are based in the US. I’m also from Canada.

They are not based in US, It's a Canadian company based in Vancouver, there's no import tax and shipping was free!

@@MartinDang it looks like 8ft to me. I ended up buying the same frame, and an 8ft karlby top and it worked out great. I have my two monitors on a arm, my desktop, and laptop on the tale and it doesn't even wobble. Would recommend. Quick note about the karlby- it comes unfinished from IKEA, so you should get a 140 grit sandpaper and some wood finish from a hardware store. Looks great.

@@gajender8881 thank you the response and some tips. it really helped a lot and I just ordered myself a fame from motion grey. I'm most likely going to buy a 8ft counter top from my lock store here because the quality seems better than the ikea tops that go for $100-$150. I would get the karlby 8ft top but trying to limit my bouget.
