I realize that my video quality is quite bad in the beginning sections, but it’ll get better as the video goes on.

Would you please give some narrative about station stops and other things you see. I am planning a trip to DC to ride a train to Moynihan Train Hall. How much was paid for your ticket and how fast is this train going?

Yes, I would be happy to give you some idea of what to expect and when I recommend traveling on this particular train line. In my personal experience, the cost of a ticket on the Acela train varies greatly depending on how early you buy your ticket. In my experience, buying a ticket a few months in advance costed somewhere in the range of 100 to 150 bucks whereas buying it at the last second yielded a cost of about 200 to 300 bucks. If this is too expensive, Amtrak has plenty of other trains for you to take that are less expensive than this one, but are slower and make more stops. If you are thinking of doing this, I recommend buying a ticket well in advance and doing it at a time other than summer because summer in my experience is rough for every mode of transportation I have ridden on. This particular film was shot during spring break if you didn’t see that in my description. The train in theory can go at 150 miles an hour, but can only do so in certain sections of the line because of how old the infrastructure on the northeast corridor is. I don’t know exactly how fast we were going since I didn’t track it on the train, so I recommend seeing the film starting at 6:39 so you could compare it to the cars on the highway. While this film doesn’t cover the section from Washington to Philly, I have been on that particular section so I can tell you what it was like. In my opinion, it’s not the best scenery that this line has to offer since you will be going through and stopping in Baltimore, which has some rough neighborhoods. The scenery north of New York City on the other hand, is much better. Moynihan Train Hall is a pretty new and nice looking station, but it is extremely crowded and can sometimes feel like an airport as opposed to a train station because of how busy it is. I hope that this helped you get an idea on what to anticipate.
