Nice solo recreation and walk through for "Something"! Tried to find "I, Imaj7, I7, IV" progression songs and there seems to be a few rare ones going back to the '30s but it's more common in pop than jazz. "Something is really a prelude to "All Things Must Pass", for anyone not familiar with ATMP, it's a great treat if you like this song.

Thanks Big Fella, one of the finest Love Songs ever written. My God she must have been some woman she made George and Eric lose their minds and we got a couple of fantastic songs to boot . The first solo that came to mind I when I clicked the video. I love The Beatles, but am no aficionado. Beautiful, haunting solo as part of a wonderful song. I know nothing of theory... yet. Your book scares me! 😉

To my ears the progression in "You Don't Know Me" is quite similar to the first part of George Harrison's "Something" The song You Don't Know Me was written by Eddy Arnold and Cindy Walker in 1955. "You Don't Know Me" was first recorded by Arnold that year and released as a single on April 21, 1956, on RCA Victor.
