I wish people would show Gerald Genta the respect he fucking deserves. The man literally pioneered many of the case designs you see today. So much so that his work on movements has gone unnoticed. But he’s one of the top watchmakers in the entire world. Yes, the entire fn world.

Man can create such pieces of intricate genius mechanism but cant stop fighting each other. A good and peaceful new year to all.

Wow, so interesting. It's mind boggling how the day/month/year/leap year combinations have been reproduced purely through a gear train. That's special. Yes, only the highest-end watches have the perpetual calendar and/or the minute repeater and/or the tourbillion. All mechanical, no electronics. Amazing talent to design and build such things. And of course most appreciated by those who know how to look!

Good afternoon dear Kalle, May Allah almighty keep you safe and happy always 🙏 As I am an old watchmaker from the sixties and still doing some bits mostly renovating some vintage watch and clocks. I get to repair some old pieces and I have to make parts for these movements. I nowadays only work when I feel healthy enough to sit at my workbench, otherwise I enjoy watching your excellent videos but not always in real time as my health is up and down.
