For today's video I thought I'd do something a bit different. Today I wanted to share with you a few of my favourite watercolour painters.
I had an original list of almost 30 but sharing them all would take me hours. Maybe I'll make a video sharing some more in the future.
Who are your favourite watercolor artists?

Nice to see some names other than Joseph Zbukvic or Alvaro Castagnet. My favourite watercolour painter would probably have to be Trevor Chamberlain

Haha yes I deliberately tried to avoid being too obvious and show artists that people may not already know. Trevor Chamberlain is a wonderful artist 😊

Denise Soden (“in liquid color here” on KZfaq) is definitely the first watercolorist I found on KZfaq who made me really want to get into it, back in 2018. her animal artwork is incredible.

Hi.Thank you for showing us the watercolorists that inspire you and their resources. My list of favorites would be very long, but the most important thing for me, apart from technical aspects, style, pigments or whatever, is that their works tell me or suggest a story ... that something happens, I don't care which one. Nice video.

I hadn't heard of any of these before, so thanks for sharing some examples of their work. Thanakorn Chaijinda, your original inspiration to take up watercolour, has some astoundingly beautiful paintings. I can see how his work inspired you to get into it. I'll have to look him up. I must confess, I watch way too many KZfaq videos about watercolour painting 😁, so this year I plan to watch less and paint more! It's great to see you giving a shout out to other watercolour artists on KZfaq. My watercolour playlist is already at 1,700+ videos (I know, it's nuts). I can't say I've watched them all, but I do dip in and out of the playlist for inspiration and to help me learn more about different techniques, styles and approaches to watercolour painting. Watercolour by Shibasaki - in Japanese with subtitles -(this channel is what got me into Watercolour painting in the first place in the summer of 2019) - great for beginners and improvers alike. Watercolour painting demo by javid tabatabaei (mainly landscapes, no chat - just painting with background music) Alicia Arcadilla - in Spanish - (urban sketching - has various videos from different countries where you see a lot of plein air painting) Anna Bucciarelli (stunning florals and around precise technical skills) Scott Swinton (wild and wonderful abstract landscapes). Garry Tucker (advanced techniques and some beginners tips too - short videos with clear explanations of how and why) . Matthew White - Watercolour Tuition (beginners guides and expert tuition with clear explanations on methodology and practice exercises) Watercolour Online by Michael Solovyev (urban sketching and composition - unusual approach but very engaging and inspiring) PeterWoolleyArtist (proper old school English artist - very amenable presentation style, so peaceful to follow along) Yong Chen (overall art and watercolour skills - it's amazing what he does with just two brushes and often just using 3 primary colours. Superb channel to learn about the subtleties of mixing colours and simplicity to create beautiful paintings). Dank Hawk (Urban sketching in line and wash style) Draw with Shiba (great for beginners to follow along Painting with Paul Apps - Watercolour Lois Davidson Kris DeBruine Studio Becky Cao (Urban sketching and journalling art) Nitin Singh Tim Wilmot Liron Yanconski Marco Bucci Maria Raczynska Anne Kerr Art Studio (traditional) Chloe Art (modern) Claudia Llobera (in Spanish with subtitles) Joaquin González Dorao (in Spanish with subtitles, Urban Sketching style) Alisa Laporte Art Cathryn Jeff Art Prakashan Pathur Peter Sheeler Weronika Zubek Precious Watercolour Paul Clark Stan Miller Namil Art Louise de Masi Emma Jane Lefebvre Jean Lurssen Watercolours Me and a pencil Mind of Watercolour Helen Campbell Stephen Coates English Watercolour

Wait a minute... did you say you've been 🎨 painting since 2019? Had you ever painted before? Amazing story! I'm a beginner gramma from California who is quite thrilled for your accomplishments! Thank 😊 you for sharing! Beautiful and creative paintings - a bit ... I should say, a great deal over my aptitude! ❤

Thanks very much. Nope, no painting before end of 2019. I hadn't done any artwork since I was a child at school. I have a photography background though so that probably helped a bit with composition.

Me. I'm my favorite watercolor artist. I don't do social media though. Way too busy. Besides. I don't think it right to make money off paintings people have already paid for. With supplies given to me by companies. To me it's like charging someone for stolen items.
