Sorry again for your loss Adrain.Great to see you back. I have been giving my fences a major overhaul during this lockdown. By god it can be one time consuming job sometimes. Definitely worth while though 👍. Like yourself the briars is the pain of existence to barb wire and electric fences as well. Pretty sickening as you pointed out how the fencing posts have no lasting in them anymore.

Sorry for your loss once again adrian, if you cant find the tools the mower will find them for you anyway, if you got an old sideways freezer that open upwards you could get about 300kg+ of ration or meal etc. into them and use a pallet forks to move them if needed

Great to see you back Adrian and remember "Time is a great healer" and especially my own philosophy...... "A busy body has no time to think about shite" My happiest days were pulling wire and driving posts (but not with the Mankiller or the Sledge mind) all hail the Post Driver!!!!!!!!!!!! liked it so much I even had my own Fencing Business for a long time after I left the Farm Relief!!!! Stay safe and to answer the above question, depends on the posts Adrian.....Larch and kiln dried and treated all the way!!!!!!!!

I'm just a you tube follower Adrian (old timer) was wondering why you were missing the last week or so, so sorry about your bereavement, may they rest in peace. Very hard to get wooden posts to last, I've used PDM posts last few yrs, seem to last bit longer (expensive enough though) stay safe in these strange times.

Good to see you back behind the camera. Sorry for your loss, but life must go on and it's nice to have jobs to do to help pass the time. Like the farm flix t-shirt. Fuel lines break down in those fuel tanks on the garden machinery. They keep letting small bits of rubber into Carb. Worth changing if they keep giving you trouble, just to rule out.
@IFarmWeFarm
@IFarmWeFarm 4 жыл бұрын
Peter Kennedy it’s been giving carb trouble since the first week I had it, it’s only 3 years old now and been through 3 new carbs already. The 4 stroke was great but heavier
@carlow4life
@carlow4life 4 жыл бұрын
@@IFarmWeFarm Well them wee Carbs on most of them machines these days seem to be disposable nearly there that cheap. Nothing in them anymore. I find if they lie up to long with 2 stroke mix in them, the petrol evaporates out of the carbs and leaves a sticky oil residue in the jets. 4 strokes are great, dont give half the trouble. Shindaiwa are a great 4 stroke engine, light and rarely give trouble. Although if you got a battery one you could sent the wife out at it. 🤣

About the cow's eyes: there is a virus that causes a milky overlay on their eyers. I've seen it before with cows and the farmer was like "it's a virus, it will clear up all by itself." Whilst I was like "please safe her eyes, help her etc" He was right. Cow was fine within a few weeks. (I did clean her eyes every day though, because I hate it when they have teary eyes and there are flies having a feast on the fluids. I'd like to think I helped her heal)

Russ I’ve never heard of that!!! I use Stihl’s own 2 stroke. that’s very interesting to know 🤔 👍
@russ7743
@russ7743 4 жыл бұрын
Apparently motor vehicle 2 stroke has an additive which prevents it retaining moisture this caused choking in static tools creates a film in the tools. Since you are using Stills own it’s likely that it’s dry without the additive. Worth a thought. Trouble is the synthetic oils don’t give much of a clue to burn residue like the old mineral oils used to. Timing and reed valve then or some minuscule dirt in jets. 2 Strokes eh!. Have a cuppa tea

IFarm WeFarm some of our ground sits beside a river, this means if the river floods the sheep wire will catch all the branches that are floating and rip the entire fence out. Basically it acts as a net if there is a flood.
