Wow! As far as first days go, this was probably the most enjoyable start to a holiday I've ever had! Join me in this vlog as I explore Tokyo for the first time, from evenings spent in Shibuya to early mornings at the Tsukiji Fish Market, experiencing the renowned teamLab exhibits, sampling new and unusual foods, indulging in a Michelin-starred omakase, hopping between bars in Shinjuku, and wrapping up the night at the local hangouts. Plus, we'll be singing karaoke until the early hours!

Hi, I am Japanese. I'm glad you enjoyed the last karaoke!😁 However, Just three pieces of advice.😅 To unwrap the rice balls, peel off the plastic in numerical order. The "seaweed powder" at the sushi restaurant was a mistake for matcha powder. Put that in a bowl and dissolve it in hot water and drink it. It will turn into green tea!🤗 Also, did you buy it at a convenience store? It is a jelly, but was there a spoon in the bag?🤔 Most of the time, the clerk will put it in for you. I'm sorry if there was no spoon in the bag.🥲 Have a nice trip!😊

Congratulations on coming to Japan, the convenience store shown in the video is not a supermarket, the price of the supermarket is lower than that of the convenience store, and it is bigger and not open 24 hours like the convenience store, and the way to eat the rice ball bought and eaten at the convenience store is wrong, there is a display of 1→2→3 in the triangular part, and if you pull the vinyl inside in order to remove it, you can eat beautifully without getting your hands dirty, it is a patent developed by Japan for this technology. (Convenience stores open 24 hours a day, with a total of 50,000 stores nationwide.) If you go to a sushi restaurant in Japan, you should eat authentic high-grade nigiri tuna rather than cheap nori-maki, nigiri is better.

How do you avoid the rip off bars. I'm going in June and need to not get mugged
@orianafindlay
@orianafindlay 2 ай бұрын
I would say avoid Golden Gai and Omoide Yokocho if you don’t want to get ripped off. Don’t get me wrong, there’s some nice places but you end up being stung with cover charge. I would suggest Shimbashi if you’re looking for a more authentic experience and there’s no cover charge and good prices/cheap drinks there!

Travel bloggers who are ignorant about Japanese food should not visit Japan without researching it in advance. Your male partner didn't seem to be very compatible with Japan. He should visit another country. 😶‍🌫😅
@orianafindlay
@orianafindlay 2 ай бұрын
Interesting take. However, travel isn't solely about food preferences. Japan offers so many experiences beyond food. Perhaps it's worth considering that dietary preferences can sometimes be influenced by cultural or religious factors too. I think telling someone not to visit a country solely based on them not being compatible with the food is actually what seems pretty ignorant to me, don't you think?

@@orianafindlay “A snack made of cherry blossom leaves in jelly.” You grimaced, revealing your disgust to the audience. This is simply an act of disrespect that shows no cultural respect for other countries. Japanese cuisine and its culture, created by the Japanese taste, have been registered as a UNESCO cultural heritage, and Japan won the World Cake Making Competition, demonstrating that Japanese pastry chefs are the best in the world in terms of skill and care. Of course, the delicious seasoning is also appreciated. On the other hand, in American food culture, hamburgers are at the top of the popularity ranking. You can see how simple the seasoning is. How would you feel if a Japanese person threw that McBurger away with a grimace? An undeveloped tongue that cannot accept Japanese tastes is like a savage.

@@orianafindlay Being a blogger is a profession that allows you to communicate freely and pursue your own curiosities and interests. They share their perspectives and experiences through blogs and earn money through advertising and other means. But her "adventures" here are not interested in exploring new worlds and sharing them with readers. It's hard to believe that this "adventure" has inspired so many people to see the world from a new perspective and use their ability to express themselves freely. This is my personal opinion.
