Hello everyone
I finally bought a bicycle
I always wanted to go grocery shopping by bike and I finally made it happen so I was very proud🚴🏻
I really enjoyed eating eggplant, which I disliked, with a new recipe🍆
I'll try more new things and share them with you

As someone who didn't really like avocados but now does, here are some ways to eat it that made me like it: - Avocado tastes amazing with bacon, cream cheese and a fried egg, you could try putting these ingredients in a bagel and have it for breakfast! -Avocado tastes better with some salt and pepper (you can mash it as well and add some lemon to make simple guacamole!) -You can make avocado cream in your food processor! Just add ripe avocados, a spoonful of thick cream, salt, pepper, a bit of lemon, a bit of garlic, some onion and cilantro (or parsley). It goes great as a dip for tortilla chips or as a spread in a sandwich or tortilla wrap! Prepared this way, it tastes really fresh and zesty because of the lemon and cilantro

How do you know if it's ripe or not?

@@susane2412 you should give it a light squeeze and it should give in but not much, it should be soft but not too soft. Also, the color is a good indicator, if it starts to turn from green to black/brown, it’s starting to become ripe!

As a Mexican I can tell you: Place an unripe 🥑 in a paper bag with a banana 🍌 and an apple 🍎 and fold the bag close. The avocado will ripen in a day or two. How to know if its ripe: if the avocado is dark skin and yields to firm gentle pressure you know it's ripe and ready-to-eat. A ripe avocado 🥑 is delicious as we say here in Mexico 🇲🇽 🥑 is our green gold! 💚 It gives me anxiety when I see people eating it when it’s not ripe because it doesn’t taste like anything and putting it in the microwave is not a good idea. The first avocado 🥑 was overripen. A few dark spots may be bruises and can be cut away if the rest looks fine, but dark, fibrous flesh, particularly if it feels soft and mushy, is likely past its best.

Additionally, if you put it in the fridge it will slow down ripening. And, please don’t forget seasoning, avocado needs salt. Personally, I like toast with smashed avocado mixed with some salt (even better if you have garlic salt), black pepper, and green onion. To make it pretty and tastier, top with slices of tomato, greens, and some fried garlic on top.

*A great cold eggplant dish for the summer is Eggplant Strudel* . Is like a tower: one slice of eggplant, one of tomato, one of muzzarella, and one of basil. The eggplant goes grilled both sides, the rest go raw. I would love to see you cooking this dish. It's absolutely delicious. Edit: you can make it with zucchini instead of eggplant as well. Enjoy.

Hi Plan.D, I'm so proud of you for cycling on your own like this!!! I saw your previous struggles in other videos but you improved a lot. I'm from the Netherlands, our people are famous for cycling everywhere and I liked hearing about your dream of cycling to the grocery store. I enjoy that as well and I'm happy you get to enjoy this too from now on! this is exactly what i am thinking,, as someone from the netherlands as well. it is so strange to realize that people have a hard time while biking (when it is such an everyday thing for us) but seeing her wanting to achieve her dream is just so amazing!

@@sophielouise9046 yess true! After I started attending a school with foreign exchanges we realized we learn cycling soooo early which is not something that's normal in a lot of countries. Maybe around 4 years old? With the bikes that you move forward with your feet or a real tiny bike. I can imagine it's a way bigger challenge when you have to learn it after being a teenager.

플랜디님의 자전거 구입 축하합니다🎉🎉🎉 안 다치시고 즐겁게 타시면 좋겠어요 지금은 초보시니까 일단 익숙해지는게 먼저겠지만, 나중에는 안장을 조금씩 높게 해서 타보세용 짧게만 타면 큰 문제는 안되지만, 지금처럼 안장 높이가 낮으면 무릎에 무리가 가서 걱정되는 마음에 댓글을 달아봅니당 간단하게 내 키에 맞는 안장 높이를 찾는 방법은 1. 안장에 앉아서 발 뒷꿈치를 페달에 올려둔다. 2. 페달을 가장 아래로 굴렸을 때 무릎이 약간만 접은, 거의 일직선으로 펴지는 높이가 대충 맞는 안장 높이입니다. 근데 자전거에 익숙하지 않으시면 쉽지 않아요...ㅋㅋㅋ 균형 잡기도 어렵고 멈추기도 어렵거든요 차차 능숙해지셔서 자연스럽게 자전거 타시는 그날까지 응원해요😊😊😊

안장을 조금 높게! 저도 댓글 달려고 했는데ㅎㅎ 저도 성인되서 자전거 배웠는데 까치발로 바닥에 닿을정도로 높히고 설 때는 자전거를 기울여서 발을 바닥에 닿게 하는게 생각보다 편해요.

You can make avocado into a French salad or spread. It takes an avocado (even the ripe one, slightly brownish), salt & pepper to taste, smashed garlic clove, lemon juice and a splash of olive oil. The taste is divine! Spread it on a slice of Campagne toast. You may top it with crab meat, shrimp, sliced cherry tomatoes, poached egg, smoked salmon, Brie, cheddar cheese, etc. Btw, to ripen an avocado, wrap it in a piece of paper and place it in a plastic bag for one or two days at room temperature. Check it for softening up. When it seems to have somewhat become softer, it is good to eat, even if the inside colour slightly tends to get brownish.

Avocados have a 15 minute shelf life where they are perfect. This time frame always happens when you are at work or asleep. 🙂 An avocado that is a bit darker is still good, but not too dark. The best way to tell if it is good is if it gives slightly when you press on it and if you remove the stem bit and it is a pretty green color. Indon't know if you would like gucamole but I would love to try smashed avocado with Korean flavors! I might have to try that the next time I have some avocados. But as usual, your videos make me calm and peaceful and hungry! I have tried more Korean food or added Korean spices and such because of your videos. We don't have any Korean food places near me so I have to make it myself and I am so enjoying learning about the food! Thank you!

Looking forward to see your adventures with this new companion 🚲You're making me miss mine, mine was recently stolen 😅 And yeah, avocado is kinda finicky with ripening (recently I also learned there are different types and they ripen differently as well!) Hopefully you'll get to redeem the experience with a properly ripened one, I think they have a really unique taste and can boost alot of dishes 🥑✨ Thank you for sharing your days, as always! ❤

When you buy an avocado, you need to buy them when they are green and hard. Leave it on your counter and when it starts to have a little give when you squeeze it, move it to the fridge. It will be good for 2 weeks. The avocados you had in this video was one that was way past prime and the other was not to its prime yet. Avocado is soft and buttery when it is just right.

I love avocado! Conservation tip: squeeze some lemon drops on it when opened to keep it longer and with a nice colour. Plus, the lemon adds a great touch to its flavour🎉

Congratulations on your new bicycle! I hope you ride more during the summer to get more comfortable with it 🚴. Avocados: you can mash it and mix sugar in it and spread it on toast. Or, cut the avocado into slices and place over toast and sprinkle sugar on it. You could probably even torch the top a little and eat the toast like that. 😄

I absolutely love your videos. They are always the highlight of my day. Thank you so much for that. If you want to try other eggplant dishes, I would suggest Melanzane Parmiggiana (Eggplant with Parmesan). It is a baked dish where you alternate thin slices of pan fried eggplant with tomato sauce and cheese. Once you have added the layers in a baking dish, add a final layer of tomato sauce and cheese and bake it in the oven till the cheese is melted and it is cooked through. Can be eaten hot or cold and can also be frozen to keep for later. It is very yummy and one of my favourite eggplant dishes. Much love from Germany!

If you make coffee with coffee grounds using a french press...when washing the grounds out you can add the water and coffee grounds to your plant as all natural plant food :)

Here in the Philippines we have an eggplant dish called "tortang talong". you just have to grill or boil the eggplant remove the skin then mash it but make sure it's still connected with the stem haha 😅 then add an egg,salt and ground pepper if you like then fry it. We usually have this on breakfast of course with rice 🍚

As a southern California girl, perfectly ripe avocado is something I take for granted. Just a little salt and pepper and I can eat it with a spoon. I hope you get to try it like that!

Eu amo seus vídeos. ❤ Assisto sempre que posso, pois além de você mostrar como prepara os alimentos, mostra também detalhes de peças que você faz. E eu que trabalho com costura e amo comer, fico encantada com o conteúdo que você faz . Ps.: sei que para você pode parecer estranho, mas amo abacate amassado com açúcar. Bater abacate com leite e açúcar também fica uma delícia. Talvez você possa gostar desta combinação.

플랜디님이 항상 당근라페를 수북히 쌓아서 드시는 걸 보고 저도 재료를 다 사서 도전해봤는데 뭔가 새로운 맛이더라구요.. 피클관 다른 새콤함.. 단독으로 먹으니 낯설어서 왠지 손이 잘 안갔는데 영상처럼 또띠야에 넣어서 먹으면 더 맛있게 먹을 수 있을 것 같아요!ㅎㅎ 오늘 영상도 재밌게 시청했습니다!♡♡

You can cut the eggplant in small pieces, put a little bit of salt and coat them with wheat flour. Next step is frying the eggplant chunks and then serve them with honey on it. Hope you like it

In Spain you do something similar, but instead of honey you can put a little bit of hot sauce and golden syrup! I was so surprised when I first ate it. Incredibly delicious.

I love watching all your videos, Plan D! 💖 Here is my best ever avocado tip -- purchase them unripe well ahead of when you want to use them in a recipe and store in the refrigerator. The avocados will ripen more slowly in the fridge and this gives you a much longer window of time to use them when they are perfectly ripe! You'll need to learn how to tell that they are ripe with a gentle squeeze, but avocados are SO good and I hope you find many new ways to enjoy! 😊 Also love seeing you on your cute new bike! Best wishes practicing!

As an avocado lover, there is a way we eat it at home. We sliced it and putting sugar or condensed milk into the avocado then mixing it with milk and ice, in a way it's more like a dessert for us. Also you can fry the eggplant and put soy sauce or fermented shrimp paste (bagoong) for better taste. Both of what I said is a way we make avocado and eggplant delicious. I hope it can help you.

Such a cute upload and your bike is beautiful! Congrats ❤ I didn’t care for eggplant when I was younger because the only way I had it was in this mushy baked veggie casserole (sorry mom!). But now it’s one of my fav summer veggies. Definitely give the avocado another try. It’s fickle to find the perfect day that they’re ripe, but so worth it! Your salmon looks rolls looked amazing 🤩

You could try avocado with a little bit of salt, it adds flavor, you could also spread it on a toast with tomato slices 😊 (I grow up eating it since I’m Mexican 😅) you can get creative with it for either texture or flavor

You could make a vietnamese dessert with avocados just by mashing it in a cup and adding milk, ice, and condensed milk and mixing it all up! the taste of it becomes nice and if you dont like the texture you can blend it all up into a rich smoothie :)

In the Philippines, we use avocado as a dessert. You can make it into a smoothie (🥑+ ice + condensed milk) or you can make it into an ice cream.🥑🥑🥑🥑 I love avocados and its a good flavor for cold treats this summer😊
