As a spanish person myself I'm from LatAm I can say that we took a lot of things from the arabic culture (things like "jarabe" or "almíbar") since spain's invasion. And the girls said something about arabic influence in the song (I only understood that part). It's good to see how good the spanish and arabic influence merge because they interacted so much in history.

I actually thought it felt a lot like a hodgepodge of all the things they did. The intro reminded me of Solar's "Spit It Out" While the sexiness of it and a lot of the drums felt very "Egotistic" which was Byul's era The guitars sounded very similar to gogobebe's guitars, which was Wheein's era And finally, the ending breakdown reminded me of Hwasa's "Maria" If MMM disband after this comeback, it's all good. It's like here's our magnum opus containing all our colors. Enjoy!

As one article said, Mamamoo defies the traditional idol mold. They explore genres never been done before by any past kpop groups. They contunue to break stereotypes and made themselves distinct from everybody else. Of course not every music will be liked but it didn't stop them from venturing different genres of music. (they lost some fans during 4s4c era but gained alot more in return) 😊 This is why Mamamoo music is a brand. It is called Mamamoo genre in the kpop world.

This entire MV is gonna live in my head rent free, but Wheein in that dark makeup? I died. That Hwabyul verse? Inspired, blessed. It definitely has egotistic vibes but it also feels very starkly different to anything I expected. I don't think it's as immediately catchy as I expect kpop title tracks to be but they all sound so good that it's addictive anyway.
