My first Custom Built Guitar Review - Marceau Guitars

I just received my first custom built guitar last week and I wanted to show it to you guys. It was built for me by Marceau Guitars in France and I'm very pleased with the outcome.
I decided to go for a Super Strat type of a guitar with two humbuckers that can both be split into single coils for a more of a traditional strat sound. The body is mahogany and the neck is roasted maple which feels absolutely amazing.
Have a listen to the tone samples and let me know your thoughts in the comments. All the tone samples are played through my Kemper Stage Profiler and the profile I'm using is the '72 Marshall' from Michael Britt.

Sounds tons better than "alright" :) Wow, just on looks alone, that is a stunning guitar. Especially that gorgeous roasted neck. And then the tones you get are so satisfying to listen to. Thanks for keeping the content coming, love your stuff!

what an awesome build! it looks stunning, and sound FREAKING awesome! really does. the truss-rod adjustment is a feat of engineering, i've need seen that before. it's such a great idea. it looks like a lot of detail went it to this instrument. can't wait to see it more.

Thanks Chris! I'm super happy with it. This guitar definitely has the most comfortable neck I have ever played. And yes, the truss rod slot on the 22nd fret is a really cool feature. What I didn't show in the video is that the slot doesn't affect the tone on the 22nd fret at all (not that I play a lot up there anyway..)

Gorgeous guitar! But I have to ask: The neck and board is actually roasted maple? How did they get it so dark? All roasted maple is more light brown in color. Did they put some coloring in the finish or what? I'm looking to get a custom made myself but want a really dark fretboard so I was gonna go for rosewood or ebony with a roasted maple neck. But if I can get roasted maple this dark I'll probably use that for the board aswell...

Hello ! Nice sounding, but what pickups have you choose from Marceau - P2 or P4 ?

Play it on clean. All these tones are from your kemper, not from the guitar... A great Amp/Kemper can make a shit guitar sound great.

That depends on what you call clean, l’m playing through a clean Marshall profile with a bit of reverb which should give me about the same results as playing through a clean Marshall amp with a bit of reverb… Any amp gives the tone a colour but at the same time you can clearly hear the tonal charachter of each pickup setting.

LOL! that's not true at all. that's almost like saying the speakers are the only reason amps sound good.

I think we have an idea for a new video here, I've got a cheap guitar that I can run through the same Kemper settings and compare with my more expensive guitars. Might be interesting.
