Actually, Nux.... this WAS the original Demon Slayer! But they realized that Jotaro would just destroy Muzan instantly and the story would be over in, like, 3 chapters. So they replaced him with a wuss.

@@emircanozad914 yes. The DS corps were not able to kill a single upper moon for decades. Then Tanjiro shows up, has the most special nichirin blade and is always the one to deal the finishing blow. Everyone likes him and wants to be like him. He also is one of the few people who possess a DS mark and his only flaw was solved in the first season
