I apologize in advance this will probably be a long comment. So Bibi is not an idol unlike the rest of the Korean singers you have checked out, hence her more raw style. She started out as a SoundCloud singer, just doing it for fun. She was discovered by Tiger JK and Yoon Mirae, who are a husband-wife team who are both legends in Korean Hip Hop legends. If you are ever interested in checking them out, I can certainly recommend some solo songs from them as well as MFBTY songs (which is their group along with Bizzy). Her first song "So What" was one of those sound cloud songs. They originally were going to sign her as a songwriter but upon meeting her decided to sign her as an artist. She first appeared on a show called "The Fan" (I did mention in the Yezi video, it would come up again) where she did very well due to her unique singing style. She had a lot of amazing performances on the show (Oh man, her cover of Red Velvet's "Peek A Boo"). The second song was "Nabi" and then it was followed by her debut song "Binu". If you will notice she made a reference to Bibi Naked. That was her original name when she was a SoundCloud singer (and still is her Instagram handle). On Fedexx Girl, you mention dancing. No, she can't really dance. She isn't the worst in the world, but since she isn't a trained idol she hasn't had all the dance classes they get. I will say a fair amount of her songs are about sex, though not all about it. Another benefit of not being an idol (not that it doesn't stop idols writing sex songs, just tend to be slightly more low-key). Earlier this year she was featured on Hyo's song "Second". When they performed it, Bibi would stand there and do her part, but wouldn't join in on the choreography. They did however have a Tiktok video of her stumbling through the choreo. You should check out when Bibi (and her boss Tiger JK) showed up on Showterview, which is a youtube series where Jessi interviews celebs. So Both "Fever" and "Te Quiero" are her as a featured artist. So "Fever" is by JYP (the artist who runs the company, and not the company itself). She also helped him write the Twice song "More and More. "Te Quiero" was by Twlv who is another contestant from "The Fan". They both also appear on the song rap song "The Automatic" and Twlv also was a featured artist on Tiger JK's song "Kiss Kiss Bang Bang". The next song was "Step". Truly an amazing song and one of my favorites too. It does have a music video, but probably not one you really need to react to since her bit in this really covers the song pretty well. After "Step" is "Kazino". You are correct. The original Korean title is a quote from a Korean movie (hence it being so long), but I won't say more than that for now. You really need to check out the full music video. Finally, it ends with a tease of Cigarette and Condom. This Killing Voice was released shortly before the song came out and was produced with Dingo hence it ending like that. She also made two other variety style videos to go along with promoting it. So now you see why I wanted her to react to her so much and you still haven't even dived into her lyrics and music videos.

I wish there was more reactions to her voice. She seems to be a light soprano that switchs between a sweet nasal tone and a belt. The control and agility is crazy. Turns her into a versatile singer that acts with the voice, her entire expressions and body gestures. One of the most chill and relaxed singers from the dingo videos, not just stiff. Not being into kpop gives so much freedom we can feel through her fluctuations. More nasal here, more head voice there, her fry is crazy. She is a happer too.

To be completely honest I think this was one of my favorite videos so far. Don't get me wrong, I'm here whenever video you post and I love kpop but, seeing you reacting to more than kpop singers and exploring other genres made me so so happy. I never listened to BIBI and I'm happy to have this first listening with you. Please, keep reacting to more k-R&B artists :D

You've GOT to go watch some of these songs videos with their lyrics - they are so clever and witty and cute and charming. Her expressions make so much sense when you then see what she's singing. She's got sooooo much personality, and her sound is so charismatic. The little edge to her voice - she uses a lot of autotune for the sound of it, but she's also a really talented singer, it's not because she "needs it". You know? Stylistic choice.

I absolutely love Bibi. Her videos for life is a bi and Kazino are great for analysis cause they are so deep! Actually all her videos from the life is a bi album are and they are mostly shorts.

Oh this was really cool! I only know of BIBI from the song "Is This Bad B Number" by Jean Soyeon's solo album (the rapper from (G)I-DLE). There is another rapper on that song named Youngji. I'm not sure if rap is really your thing - but the flow on that song is sick AF.

binu is easily my favorite song from bibi with kazino, cigarettes and condoms following. and her latest album was one of the best albums in korea of 2021. and she's also an amazing actress.

BIBI practiced her dance a lot for the promotion stage of her latest album and she did really well :3 I recommend two of her songs that are my favorites: -Life is a B (underrated masterpiece) -Hanryang (this is a collaboration for a tv show)

I discovered BIBI with NABI and have enjoyed seeing her get more and more recognition over the last couple of years. i really look into nearly every vid you up on YT, although an metalhead. Mostly, and shitstorm me i owe it, this idols are hyped and when they sing an whole song, normally completely elctronized afterwards, i am just , well bored of the music, although sometimes like the vid for its visuals but the behaviour of this to seldom partly talented young Females.....no thanks. this lady stands out positively for me. music didnt give me chills , but its got an beat and her voice really goes along with it, could hear that again. and foremost, she do give me the image of an down to earth smart young lady with brains and attitude. thx for bringing her up, i wont switch Floor Jannsen with her, but surely will dig deeper in her catalouge.

She reminds you of Jessi, but what I hear is a Jazz influence and some Swing. She's someone I could put their album on and just listen. If you like her, you should check out AKMU - they're a brother-sister duo who were so good that when YG signed them they got a contract that said that YG can't interfere in their music.

Artists like Jessi, BIBI, Hwasa, Soyeon (IDLE), Young Ji are what Korean society needed because there's too much about "being perfect and having good behavior" in Korean standards of a good example to be followed, and they are showing how the most important thing to be successful it's not being perfect but being yourself, because being yourself makes you shine even more. They are what Korean society needed and what young women needed as a good example on how to be: be yourself it's sometimes hard but it's better than trying to adjust to everyone

7:47 to be fair I think she can dance a bit but not in proper dance tho like she should never have any dance practice like those idol performer before. since at first she's a composer and Yoon Mi Rae(TigerJK's wife) want to sign her as a composer at first but then she changed it and sign her as an artist instead. so yeah they should never even give her a dance lesson(like why should they? since her talent in other aspect are good enough already instead of wait for her 1-2years to practice how to dance just let her release her song is better and fit her more). she's good at singing but she didn't have that solid foundation yet to dance in performance (at least for now). like she know how to dance in the club or bop to a song but not on the level to dance in actual choreo which need a solid foundation to do it.
