Nice camera, I just picked a tatty one up for £15 it has the pentax A 1.7 50mm lens, the lens is probably the best part and worth way more than I paid for the whole thing. To be honest the camera is rough, even the battery contacts were rusty, now cleaner and working but it has other issues I'll have a try at restoring it.

To be honest, these cameras are quite cheap and easy to find. And I agree about the lens, I bought the Pentax MX lately and was so happy to have the 50mm f1.7 again

@@tomsvintageoptix You're right it would be easier and cheaper to just buy a better one but I like a challenge and it would make great project for future content.

Hi mate what settings did you use to take these photos, aparture etc?

Hi there, I set it on aperture priority so the camera set the shutter speed. If I wanted blurry backgrounds I set it to f1.8 to f2.8. For wide shots I use f8 to f11

How do you blur the background? I just started using this camera and I’m pretty new as well

Usually, there are numbers on the lens measured in F stops (ranging from 1.8 to 22 mostly) for example, F1.8 will give you the most blurry where very little is in focus. Whereas, F11 to F22 will have everything in focus. Basically, the smaller the number, the more blurry backgrounds are. Hope that helps.
