Nice one man, and you are right. Spending a few hundred extra on these is still a win compared to 1,500 or more for other guitars. At least to me, plus I like tinkering anyway. I almost ordered one of those blue ones as well as the green anaconda burst that I did order. Cant wait to see your other 2 when you get them and get around to recording. Its a bug like collecting sqounkers and boros

I only have one grip! I wish the tone selector switch/ pick up selector switch was in the top left 2nd cut area & secondly, I wish it was a HSH. I LOVE that it has decent strap buttons, I always swap out ramp style stap buttons for the oversized strap buttons from Warmoth! I really need to add a few firefly guitars to my collection! You will prob need to add noise reduction in all its cavities, either paint on or foil type. I LOVE that it has slit coil capacity with the pull pot! Firefly is hard to beat on paper anyways...

Floyd Rose FR1TACHWS 1000 Series Tremolo Arm Coupling Kit might fix the trem looseness. Use some 10 WD 40 on the insert "screw" tightener if need be. Nothing slicks up tough steel threads like 10 wd 40

Tony you gotta try nyxl strings, I was a long time user of Ernie Ball string but nyxl are much more superior and they changes tone dramatically.

Do you think replacing the string trees with a string retainer bar would help tuning? Also i heard the knife edges on the tremolo get galled if you turn the pegs with the strings up to tune. Perhaps try Polishing them and a drop of lube. What tremolo would you use to replace the factory one?

I’m going to try that with the EVH tribute I got from Firefly, so we’ll see. Seems like the string retainer would be great for any guitar with a FR type tremelo. The knife edges will do that on pretty much any FR bridge with strings tuned up. If I were to replace it, I’d probably just go with a FR, but I’m thinking I can get these off brand versions to work well. Thanks for watching! 😃👍🏻

About less than 2 weeks ago they had about 10 or a dozen or so guitars with a flame roasted Maple neck. That's right. I purchased a white Telecaster with I meant pickguard, locking tuners, bone nut, truss rod wheel on the bottom of the neck, brass saddles, stainless steel ball and frets, and an insane flamey neck. The amount of flame on the back of the neck is insane and you can actually see it on the front of the headstock and a little bit on the fretboard. I just don't know how they do it. I just got it. It was $216 shipped. My first floor fly I bought in January needed some setup but this strangely was set up perfectly right out of the box. Of course I'm going to change the crappy strings but, wow.

Does it stay in tune whenever you bend? I have a bend heavy style, similar to Dave Murray, Izzy Stradlin, and Jens Ludwig. I absolutely love the Charvel style, but I really hope it stays tune.

Others have said that it goes outta tune with heavy bends and they have to dive to reset it, but mine seems to be fine. I did some intonation and small tweaks, but nothing big, and it’s fine. Thanks for watching! 😃👍🏻

@@VaporTrailChannel thanks! I have an FFSP from Firefly which I absolutely love, but this one is another one that caught my eye. Luckily this style and colorway is not as limited as the Green Lizard burst and blue burst ones so I don't have to rush. Considering a few tweaks can take care of preventing out of tune bends, I will definitely take a shot on this!

I’ve got it manageable, but if I’m going to make this one of my main guitars, I’d replace the tremelo bridge. Good options from Musiclily, Guitar Fetish, and more that aren’t super expensive. I took mine off and polished the knife edges. Kept messing with it and got it to be stable. These are pretty low quality bridges, unfortunately, but with the overall cost of these things, it’s fine to spend a little money to dial em in. Thanks for watching! 😃👍🏻

Oh, and you might think about a trem stopper in the spring cavity. Makes it dive only, but worth it for stability

THE REASON THEY CAN SELL THAT FOR SO LITTL3E IS BECAUSE THEY USE cnc AND MAKE 100,000 of them...(sorry for the caplock)

How is the neck profile, a baseball bat or a broomstick? I prefer a broomstick! I ordered a Donner DST-152 & it has a very petite neck!!!

@VaporTrailChannel You are welcome. I envy anyone's Gibson collection but, growing up playing a Matsumoku made, made in Japan Westone spectrum lx. I really started to see how great overseas guitars are. I lost 22 guitars, 5 amps, 2 mixing boards, several pedals, 1 of the 1st five Steinway & Son's pianos, which all shipped out on the same truck in the 1890's, along with a literal fortune when my brother stole our house with all its contents. I saved all my life for nothing! Hundreds of thousands!!!! 35lbs of gold & a room filled with silver!!!

I was playing a basic Jackson at my local music shop. It did not have any of the paperwork attached but I'm guessing it might of been a js11 or a js22. It had a basic vibrato but, my point is, it had a massive neck but, it had a compound radio's. It did play really well though!!! Only bested by a few Fenders- a player series, & 1 or 2 other makes. Though I only played 10-15 used guitars, & 10 new that were on the bottom run which I could reach.

I’m not sure on this particular one. I used the R2 for my FFMN EVH version, but the slots a bit low with that, so I’m going to shim it up a bit. Wish I had a better answer for you. Thanks for watching! 😃👍🏻

Licensed Floyd 1000 ? Those simply don’t stay in tune, in my experience anyway.
